Hey guess what. I decided to post the writing thing I did. It was for a writing prompt, specifically: A character gets caught, but they refuse to admit to any wrong doing. And uh. This is where my mind went. Sooooooooo enjoy some actual writing from me for once!! :D

(Please pretend this came out like MONTHS AGO OMG because I am. Ah. Not great at answering these on time ahhh-)

ANYWAYS! Yes, yes I can :D

The Guardians Of Magic is (hopefully) going to be a superhero comic. I say hopefully because uh… it’s still very much in the concept stage and keeps getting pushed back due to other, more turtle and triangle relating things. But I can still talk about it :)

Basically, I love reading comics, and I also love finding characters that I can see myself in. One of the best ways for me to do this is to find fellow neurodivergent characters. One of my favorite forms of comics are superhero comics (I like Marvel) so I was like ‘there’s a TON of Marvel characters, surely there’s an autistic one :D’ nope. Nada. ‘Okay…. Maybe just neurodivergent?’ A few ADHDers, but I still can’t tell if it was a joke or serious (HOWEVER, there is one VERY GOOD NEW MARVEL SUPERHERO WITH ADHD, and his name is Rapid and he’s Awesome and like cool and actually has realistic ADHD not just Hyperactive and Forgetful and Quirky hehe that most characters are portrayed as. I HIGHLY suggest checking him out he’s great) But yeah. Like, there’s Moon Night, but he’s DID and I was looking for you know. Autism. (There is one panel of Mr. Fantastic self-diagnosing himself with ‘low level autism’, but he then also says that he wants to ‘cure’ it right after and it never gets brought up again, so. He’s not getting included due to Bad Rep) And don’t even get me STARTED on that one Aquaman villain that was so bad they had to retcon his backstory so he wasn’t autistic anymore (yes i know that’s DC but it’s still comics)

So I went ‘Fine, I guess I’ll do it MYSELF’ and the Guardians Of Magic started to be born. Now, all of this IS still in the concept stage, so when I get to working on them more expect many changes as I’m not super happy with where they’re all at right now, but here is our main group:

(ALSO FOR CONTEXT: While they all started out separately, they were brought together and are technically lead by Hecate, the goddess of magic. In this universe, all mythologies are basically real with some changes for Story Reasons, and also yokai and other magical beings live side by side with humanity, similar to mutants in Marvel and stuff)

Name: Kiko Kobayashi (she/her). Age: 16. Species: Kitsune. Leader Of The Guardians Of Magic. AuDHD. Pan.

Kiko presents herself as a silly prankster who never takes anything seriously. She shrugs off responsibility and treats everything like a joke. It’s pretty much impossible to get a sincere comment from her. She is also a compulsive liar and hides anything that might mark her as weak, different, or not-quite-right. 

She has a natural talent for magic, which seems to be the only thing she actually focuses on and works to get better at. She doesn’t use her newfound abilities for all altruistic purposes, however, and tends to use them for pranks and comedy. She constantly quips whenever she fights. 

She also loves to nickname EVERYONE :D

Name: Chen Li (she/her). Age: 17. Species: Half Chinese dragon, half human. Hecate’s Apprentice . Dyslexic. Aro/Ace

Chen is incredibly serious and hard working. Catching her making a joke or showing any positive emotion is rare. Is almost always training. She’s incredibly talented when it comes to martial arts, but she has immense trouble with magic despite being Hecate’s apprentice. Constantly doubts her position given her inability to do even simple spells. This gets even worse when Kiko, a new magician, is instantly able to learn even complex magic. 

When fighting, she is serious and quiet, taking down her enemies with lethal precision. She can’t afford distractions. It makes fighting with her teammates hard, given they are walking talking distractions. Chen prefers fighting in the rain or underwater, given she gets a huge buff due to her dragon heritage. 

Constantly annoyed by Kiko given her irresponsibility, almost always being the target of her pranks, and also because she always calls her Chen-Chen and she HATES it. She so grumpy and angsty hehe <3

Name: Kiara Keller (she/her). Age: 14. Species: Human. Crouching Moron Hidden Badass. Autistic with Social Anxiety. Asexual

Kiara is the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet, but she’s super afraid of people. Her parents are super ‘overprotective’, and are ableist. Toph’s parent’s energy. She loves bugs and arachnids (though not butterflies - those tongues are CREEPY!) and spends more time in her head than with actual people. 

She never wants to hurt anyone, so she is always hesitant to let Mephi take over to fight for her. As she gets better at fighting on her own, she’s able to just let Mephi provide her with powers as she protects her friends.

ALSO THERE IS:

Name: Mephistopholes (Genderfluid, typically uses he/him or he/they, when possessing Kiara uses she/they). Age: Unknown. He’s old. Species: Demon. The Demon On Kiara’s Shoulder. Pan (he’s a demon the concept of gender doesn’t exist to him)

Mephi was banished from Hell by his father Lucifer, given a task: find the Spider. He was trapped in an amulet, and has been taking over and corrupting hosts for decades…  until the Order stole most of his power, leaving him weak and with the most uncorruptable host ever: Kiara. 

While fighting, he’s bloodthirsty and ruthless, though he has learned to tone it down because Kiara doesn’t like it. However, if she’s in danger, all bets are off. He’s super protective of her. 

He’s the little creature in the top of Kiara’s art. I don’t really have any good art of him that I can find right now, sorry, and his design is DEFINITELY going to change once I figure out something better.

Turns out I have no good art of Ellie and Orion in their civilian forms so have a rough sketch of their superhero outfits (subject to change) Ellie is the one with fluffy hair and domino mask while Orion has the long coat and katana. Also bonus Super-Hero Outfit Chen!

Name: Originally Hunter, Ellie gave him the name Orion, original name was TBD Littlewood (He/him). Age: 17. Species: Human (enhanced). Monster Hunter. ADHD, PTSD. Gay

Orion used to be a weapon for the Order Of The Morning Star (evil cult hehehe) but has since defected. Ellie gave him the name Orion so that he could be more than what the Order wanted him to be. He has since dedicated his life to stopping the Order and protecting Ellie. 

He is proficient in many weapons and fighting styles and attacks without mercy. He’s working on getting better at being non-lethal. He’s silent when fighting, but has started to enjoy making jokes. He is still mostly stoic however.

Name: Elphias ‘Ellie’ Carr (He/him). Age: 16. Species: Human. Blood Mage. Deaf. Bi

Growed up in the woods near where the Order was stationed, and his parents were killed by an attack when he was 13. For the next two years he spent his time in hiding, and slowly started to learn blood magic from watching the mages and built a bond with the quiet blonde boy who took the time to learn how to speak to him. Once Ellie learned what the Order was doing to Hunter, he offered him a way out, and they ran away together. Ellie renamed his new friend Orion when he wanted a name that wasn’t just a title. 

Ellie is skilled with knives and blood magic, and has an incredibly high pain tolerance. However, because his friends don’t want him to get hurt, he sticks back as more of a support. He enjoys joking while fighting. He learned how to talk a bit before he completely lost his hearing and he also knows how to lip read, but he prefers using ASL. 

HAHA YOU THOUGHT I WAS STICKING TO MENTAL DISABILITIES, DIDN’T YOU! HAHA NOPE WE HITTING AS MANY PEOPLE AS WE CAN- (however bc I only have experience with Autism and ADHD, the current spectrum of disabilities is pretty small, but as I do more research I’m hoping to expand the list!)

ALSO Ellie and Orion are dating. It was so funny I was making them, and then one day my brain was just like ‘what if you made them gay’ and so now they’re dating lol. Don’t expect a ton of romance other than this from the Hopefully Going To Be A Comic, because I am NOT a romantic person lol. There is a reason like half of them are ace lol.

I also have a little writing snippet I did with them though! Maybe I’ll share it later if y’all wanna see it. There’s a few edit’s I would need to make given I’ve changed some details since I wrote it (like Orion’s name, which was originally just Hunter), but it mostly hold’s up.
