Summary:
This is not how James expected his Friday night would go.
He thought for sure he would end up in someone’s bed. It’s the whole reason he wore his best outfit—an arguably too-tight, crimson-colored shirt with a V neckline and snug jeans—and made sure his curls were soft but bouncy (don’t you want to run your fingers through them?), and spritzed his best cologne on all of his heat points.
James was prepared to get a little sweaty and a lot fucked in someone else’s bed.
And in the universe’s defense, he is in a bed.
It’s just…not the one he’d planned on ending up in.
Or, James and Regulus meet in a bar, agree to a one night stand—and absolutely nothing goes as planned.

The thing is, Sirius always had a thing about saviours. It’s how he became infatuated with James in the first place; it’s why he tried so hard to be one for his brother and ended up resenting himself more than he’d ever admit for failing at it. He’s just got a thing about saviours.
