hii! could you do seongje x fem! reader where they broke up because they had a lot of arguments and generally did not work out. But one day seong-je hears that we have a guy we've been hanging around so he starts messing with every guy that talks to us
we find out its because of him and confront him outside the bowling alley. They fight and he shuts her up with a kiss!
you can decide how to fill in the lines but that's generally what I want!
ᥫ᭡.ִֶָ𓂃 warnings - heavy angst, hurt with comfort, LOT'S of swearing, and of course break ups
ᥫ᭡.ִֶָ𓂃 authors note - first request ever! hopefully I did it to your liking and this is the first fic I've written so give me grace. I tried my best to paint the picture really well so lots of description. I also low-key did not proof read so sue me if there are any grammar mistakes. Also switched it up slightly and inspired the story off the request.
And someone PLEASE tell me why its so hard to write emotional scenes 😭 or maybe I'm tripping I don't know.
ᥫ᭡.ִֶָ𓂃 boosting is also greatly appreciated! sharing it with friends, reblogging it, commenting all really helps and boosts my spirits!
You and seongje had an unbreakable relationship. Guys in the union gossiped and wondered how seongje got lucky with such a woman, one who was patient, patched his wounds, and stayed around despite his harsh words and line of work. It honestly was most of their dream relationships but you know what they say, not everything is what it seems.
He did love you, but that came with a cost. The union made him distant and almost neglectful of your needs. Whenever you wanted to go on a date with him, he'd cancel and make loose promises that he'd make it up to you. It was exhausting, but you still stayed anyway.
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
You stared at your lit up screen with a grin. Seongje had promised you that you guys could eat together at this new rameyon place that had opened up recently as an apology for being distant. You looked up from your phone to look at other couples walking by, other highschoolers laughing with cigarettes hanging from their fingers──motorcycles and cars passing by.
You lightly fidgeting with the hem of your sleeve and checked your phone a couple times, waiting for a new message to pop up from him that he was close or that I should look to my right because I couldn't see him, then tease us for being blind like he's not the one with the glasses. Seconds ...then minutes passed by without any sign of him.
"fuck ...where the hell is he." You muttered in frustration, feeling the angry tears already bubbling up in your eyes──threatening to spill over, but the sting in your nose was making it harder to stop the flow from coming.
Like the universe knew what you were thinking, you suddenly heard footsteps coming from your left and it was none other than guem seongje, your dumbass boyfriend. You quickly turned your head with a soft sniffle─wiping your eyes and face for any remnants of your almost breakdown and turned back to him with a smile.
"seongje! how are you ..." the words died in your throat, along with your smile as you really saw his face. There was a cut below the corner of his eye and he had a split lip. His expression wasn't anything soft either, it was like he wasn't even looking at you like someone he loved──it was terrifying.
"what the hell happened to you!?"
Your hands went up to hold his face, your thumb brushing under his eye in a tender touch that was natural to you now. Your eyes flicked up to his dark unreadable ones, silently demanding answers. But he didn't answer and instead moved his hands to lightly grip your wrists, pulling your hands off of his face.
Your eyes widened in confusion and a mix of other things you couldn't quite pinpoint. You've watched too many movies not to instantly jump to conclusions, this was the perfect break up scene.
"seong je …" You muttered, scanning his face desperately for answers. And hoping he'll deny the things you're thinking in your head and reassure you it's nothing serious.
He stared at you with a flat expression, but then the corner of his lips twitched upwards in his signature smirk like a silent chuckle before settling back.
"lets break up" ………………………………………………………………………………………
Your mind had a million questions but your constricted throat made it hard to get any words out. You cou]ld feel your lips part, but nothing came. Your thoughts were moving too quickly for you to grab onto a single one.
Seongje saw the absolute devastation and inner turmoil so he continued with that casual way of his, like nothing mattered to him other than his own excitement.
"you're no fun, I don't need you in my life anymore."
Seongje remarked with a faint smirk, like this was just a normal thing to do. To totally shatter your heart because you didn't benefit him anymore !? What the fuck is that even supposed to mean !?
You opened your mouth slightly, it was like you didn't have a voice anymore despite you screaming at him in your head.
The thought came instantly, almost instinctively.
No, that's not what he means. He loves me, he's just fucking with me.
He didn't even give you time to formulate your thoughts or find your voice before turning on his heel and walking away where he came from, pulling out a cigarette as he disappeared farther out of sight.
Your eyes followed the back of his head until he became smaller and smaller, until the darkness away from the brightness of the convenience stores neon lights from beside you, began swallowing him up. Some part of you was still waiting for him to turn around.
You stood there frozen. Your mind was trying its best to catch up to what the hell happened and it was also subconsciously trying to keep itself together. Unfortunately for you the tape it was using wasn't strong enough and you felt like your legs could barely hold your weight anymore.
The truth was, he didn't break up with you because of that. Before he had come to meet you, he was with baek-jin after beating the shit out of some guy. Baekjin had tried to make seong-je do something else but he had declined saying
"nah, gotta go see my girlfriend. She's waiting for me."
Baekjin had stared at him with the usual unreadable look.
"you're gonna go to your girlfriend right after all this? You're better off doing more work."
Seong-je looked at him before a sigh. "shut the fuck up." He grumbled out, pushing past him. Baekjin could tell it affected him but didn't comment on it.
While seong-je was walking he thought about your guy's relationship as a whole. So much so thinking you were better off without him and someone as kind as you didn't deserve an asshole like him. ………………………………………………………………………………………............................
You could barely see from the tears pooled in your eyes. You clenched your fist, raising it into the air as if to hit something but restraining itself from doing so. Your arm shook violently before dropping back down. A broken, strangled sound escaped your throat.
You'd tried your best to keep yourself together and now break down on the sidewalk, but it seemed like the universe had other plans for you.
You wailed loudly, crouching down then collapsing to your knees. You didn't care or, didn't notice how people were starting to glance at you or blatantly stare in confusion on why a teenage girl was losing her shit on the sidewalk.
Some considered going up to you to offer support or find out what happened because they couldn't mind their own business. But then again who could they when someone was making such a scene? Especially one as hysterical as that.
You curled your fingers against the dirty pavement and continued to howl, not even aware of where you were. The grief was simply too heavy and your body felt like it was closing in on itself.
It sat in your chest like something impossibly heavy, making every breath feel wrong. You tried to swallow, tried to take a proper breath, but your throat kept catching. Your shoulders jerked with every sob, and the harder you tried to calm yourself down, the worse it seemed to get. Your breath started to pick up even more in pace, hyperventilating now.
You sucked in another breath that came out shaky and uneven, then another, your lungs refusing to settle into a normal rhythm. You'd read about so many cliche break up stories but never in a million years would you have imagined it would be you as the star of the cliche novel.
Your head was throbbing, your body trembling uncontrollably. You felt hyper aware of your body now, the feeling of the fabric of your clothes rubbing against your skin. The wetness of your face from your unrestrained tears. The rough pavement beneath your fingertips. The way your chest kept rising and falling too quickly.
You wanted to scream at someone, to hit something to do anything really but you still were somewhat still aware you were in public and not in the safety of your bedroom.
That awareness somehow made it worse. You were falling apart in front of complete strangers. And you couldn't even make yourself care at all, you're mind was just seongje seongje seongje.
You continued to wail under the neon lights of the convenience store beside you before you felt a gentle touch on your shoulder.
Your crying halted, your brain was foggy so it took a second for your eyes to flick up to the girl who was bending over you.
She looked around the same age as you, but it was hard to tell exactly. Her eyes were full of concern and understanding, like she knew what was wrong before I said a single thing.
"you okay?" The girl muttered in a low velvety voice. She had a naturally comforting voice and it made you able to finally get a word out.
"no …" You choked out in almost a whimper. Normally if anyone asks you if you're okay you say you're fine but you couldn't lie now.
"here lets get you up" She moved her hands to the side of your arms to help get you up again. Looking down at you since she was a bit taller.
"what's your name?" she questioned softly, trying her best to sound as friendly as possible. You just stared at her for a moment, glancing over her face like wondering if she was from a dreamland or some shit.
You realized after a moment that you were staring and snapped back into reality.
You realized after a moment that you were staring.
You quickly snapped back into reality, blinking away the fog in your head.
"oh its um ...l/n y/n" you stumbled out quickly, almost in a shy manner. You glanced away, rubbing at your swollen eyes with the heels of your hands now that you'd calmed down a bit.
"pretty, just like you" she said with a big grin, trying to uplift me with her spirits. "and my name Lee jae-mi" Jae-mi didn't even let you respond before curling an arm around your shoulder and insisting you walk forward like you've been friends for awhile.
"so ...tell me, whose this dumbass boy that you're crying over? And don't even try to deny it! I cried the exact same way when I got my heart turned into ash." She moved her other hand and flicked away imaginary ash from her other hand in a playful motion.
Your eyes widened slightly and you let out an involuntarily smile at that with a small breath of laughter, which made jae-mi light up in excitement and start pinching your cheek."
"awww is that a smile! Because of me?" She sounded way too giddy, like a kid on christmas morning and that made your smile grow and let out an actual chuckle.
"shut up .." You grumble out, your voice hoarse from all the crying and sobbing you were doing moments ago. Sniffling slightly and leaning into jae-mi's comforting touch, she felt like a big sister to you. Even though you didn't even know how old she was.
"here, I'll take you home." She said in a soft but firm voice, like she wouldn't allow me to argue if you wanted to. She suddenly gasped like an idea came to her head, I swear you could see a light bulb manifest above her head.
"or or you know what I can take you to this really nice tteokbokki stand that's really close to here. If you've never seen it, it's by where all those highschool boys would smoke. I tell them off sometimes if I go to it, they complain but I don't really care."
You perked up at her wording. "highschool boys" She was speaking as if she was older or something, perfect chance to ask. "highschool boys? I thought you were in highschool."
Jae-mi stopped talking and looked back at you to see your expression, then back to the side where we had to walk to go to the tteokbokki stand. "I'm actually nineteen, graduated last year so I go to college now. Studying to be a children's doctor if you care."
You let out a small "ohh" of acknowledgement. Cracking a smile again because you enjoyed the small talk. "well I'm eighteen. I'm graduating this year."
Jae-mi let out a small sound like that was profound news. "wooooow, graduating this year? my girl y/n is about to be a full fledged adult." You giggled at that, liking the praise and the thought of being an adult who could go down her own path.
As you two got closer to the tteokbokki stand, you started actually becoming aware that jae-mi, this woman you've met not even thirty minutes ago. Was doing all this for you, not to mention buying you food which was your love language.
"um ...are you sure you wanna do this for me?" You asked hesitantly. Saying in a quiet, hopeful way because you really did want this to happen, you just needed reassurance.
Jae-mi looked at you like what you just said was stupid and it offended her.
"um OF COURSE??" She threw her hands up slightly, her eyebrows shooting up in an exaggerated expression.
I came out here to just get a late night snack but of course seeing a fellow girl crying by herself, of course I had to step in! You know what sisterhood is right?" She said that with too much enthusiasm and volume in her voice which made some people glance over at us because of her boisterous noise.
"thank you ..I really appreciate it." You were now more comfortable and returned her side embrace by having your arm hooked around her waist.
The rest of the night went smoothly. You guys got the tteokbokki and sat on a bench near the truck, talking for about an hour about really everything. School, boys, drama, life, interests, getting to know each other while scarfing down your food. Occasionally interrupting each other and laughing over something stupid.
It lasted for about an hour before you finally checked your phone and saw it was 10:00 pm and you needed to get back home before your parents talked your ear off asking where you've been.
You two walked back to your place, continuing whatever conversation you guys were having earlier. Jae-mi occasionally nudged your shoulder with hers when she made a joke, and you found yourself laughing more easily now.
Eventually you finally got to your doorstep and she grabbed your shoulders like she was about to give you the pep talk of a life time.
"here let me tell you this now girl." Her expression suddenly became much more serious, like a teacher about to tell you off when you did something wrong, you knew that all too well since you were a bit of a trouble maker as a kid, even now.
"You are amazing, okay? Fuck any guy who says you're not. You're beautiful, you're smart, you're kind. And that dumbass dumped you is truly stupid and couldn't see how absolutely radiant you are."
She gave your shoulder a gentle but firm squeeze, trying to comfort you.
"Now when you get back into that house you're gonna take care of yourself okay? Don't waste anymore tears on him."
You started at her and her words did really help you. They felt comforting, like going under a fluffy blanket after coming outside from a freezing winter day. You nodded softly in confirmation that you got her words before she started speaking again.
"here, I'll give you my number. If you need someone to talk to I'm here for you okay?" She pulled out her phone and pressed a few buttons before holding it out to you. You got the message and started dialing your number into your phone and saving your name into it.
"alright, hug?" Jae-mi murmured softly. She stretched her arms out to you which you happily obliged too. Wrapping your arms around her waist, her arms going around your shoulders. She softly patted your back and rubbed it in a comforting motion. "aigoo ..."
She felt warm and safe. You truly wouldn't know what you would have done today without her support, you promised internally one day you'd pay her back for her kindness.
You finally pull away from Jae-mi, giving her one last grateful smile before heading toward the front door. The second you step inside, the familiar warmth and noise of your house hits you. You hear your siblings yelling in their room over some game, your dad making loud cheering sounds from some sport playing on the TV, and the smell of your moms cooking.
You try and be as quiet as humanly possible, trying to avoid the questions, your eyes darting and your mind racing.
"oh fuck ..its so late I'm actually hot beans bro" You muttered under your breath, pressing one hand against the wall as you cautiously began creeping toward the stairs.
Almost fucking home free.
While your hands are on the wall trying to sneak to the stairs up to your bedroom. Your mom suddenly comes out of the kitchen and you two have a sudden stare off. You're frozen there like a deer in headlights and your mom's expression slowly changed. You can already see the yell your mom is cooking up right now.
Your mom's voice absolutely ROARED through the house.
You instantly took that as the sign to bolt.
You yelped under your breath, making sure it was quiet enough that she wouldn't hear the actual profanity, and you RUN up the stairs and she yells behind you but doesn't make the effort to run up the stairs after you.
Once you shut the door of your bedroom you faintly hear your mom saying something like "don't get back home this late again." You ignore it, she has no idea what you went through tonight, what the hell can she say?
You slid down your bedroom door and looked through you and seongje's old messages. You bit back the tears but a small whimper slipped out.
"This fucking bastard, I'll kill him if I ever see him again."
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
A month had passed, and you'd gotten better at pretending you didn't think about him. Boys at your school knew now that you were single and threw themselves at you. Your friends had also helped you get through it with a lot of snacks and affirmations, also trying to get you out of the house more.
When you and seongje we're together you were a frequent at the bowling alley, now whenever someone mentions going there you swear not to go. If you go there you might ask him out which you would never allow to happen.
One day a boy from your school, kim eunwoo, decided to ask you out after school.
He was actually a nice guy and you were sorta friends with him, mostly because you had friends that were friends with him so you knew each other. You needed to get your mind off seongje anyways so you said yes with a big smile.
He took you out to an arcade, seongje like but whatever forget him.
He made you laugh and was very gentlemanly, if your feet hurt he'd carry you, if you didn't have enough money for something he'd pay for you in full.
You liked him, but something in you kept him at an arms length. Never fully let him into your heart, you knew what it was but you were too ashamed to admit it.
Another guy from ganghak high, Lee woo-jin, asked for your number one day and you accepted because he was handsome and charming so why not?
He wasn't friends with seongje or anything, but he knew he's the one that broke up with you so he didn't think anything of it. But of course, seongje found out.
It was the next day in the bowling alley while seongje was playing some game on his phone, dong-ha sat across from him with this information. Fully planning to use it to mess with seongje and get a good laugh in.
"yah, guem seongje" dong-ha said with much mischief in his voice, a smirk already formed on his face.
"Have you heard the news?" Seongje didn't even acknowledge dong-ha until he said that. He finally glanced up with slight interest in his eyes, then back down at his phone.
"Heard this guy from your school is dating your ex-girlfriend. Who was it again? Oh right l/n y/n."
If this was a cartoon you would see a vein pop on his forehead. Seongje fully lifted his head, his eyes slightly wide now. He wasn't smiling or smirking at all like he usually does. Dong-ha lets out a grin, happy he got the reaction he hoped for.
"who" seong-je asked in the most casual voice he could manage like this didn't bother him at all.
"uhh ..I think his name was Kim eunwoo."
Seong-je has heard of that name before. He was some bastard that would goof off loudly with his friends and annoyed him to death. He must've had a death wish thinking he could go after seongje's ex-girlfriend, especially going to school with him.
The next day after school, seongje found eunwoo by himself after school so he stalked him from behind. Seongje ditched the stealth once he got close enough and grabbed eunwoo from the front of his shirt in a rough motion. The sudden movement sent eunwoo stumbling backward until his back hit the wall.
Eunwoo gasped out a curse, his wide panicked eyes landed on seonje's face and knew nothing good was gonna come out of this interaction. Seong-je stared at his face with dark eyes, his face was stone not looking happy or excited at all.
"who the fuck said you could go after my girl? huh?" Eunwoo wanted to argue, point out that Seongje had been the one to end things. That he didn't exactly have the right to act possessive anymore.
But one look at Seongje's face made every one of those words die in his throat.
Seong-je did think you were better off without him, but that doesn't mean the possessive part of him won't allow another guy to touch you the way her did.
"don't ever speak to her again unless you want me to fucking kill you"
He grabbed eunwoos hair and rocked his head back and forth with a snicker. Seongje's fingers tightened in Eunwoo's hair as he gave his head another rough shake, almost mocking the fear on his face.
His signature maniacal grin now on his face before his face suddenly turned serious again and he punched him, knocking him down to the ground.
Seongje stood over him for a moment, breathing evenly looking more calm now though he was far from it.
His chest rose and fell with controlled breaths, his expression almost unnervingly composed. Anyone looking at him from a distance might have assumed he'd already cooled off. He wanted to beat the living shit out him, but didn't for your sake.
Instead he pulled out a cigarette from his pocket with steady fingers.
"I'm really tired of this shit." His voice was low and flat, almost drained of emotion.
He pulled out his lighter, the metallic sound of it opening the only sound cutting through the silence. He placed the cigarette in his mouth, taking a slow drag while looking at eunwoo grovel in pain on the ground.
He blew the smoke into the air, flicking the ash onto eunwoos pant leg with a small breath of laughter, feeling a sense of triumph now. Though this wasn't exciting since eunwoo didn't fight back at all.
"pathetic little shit" Is what seong je thought, before turning on his heel and walking away.
─────────────────────────────────────────────
Later that evening around 7 pm, you were bored and thought about texting eunwoo. Hoping to hear that he was free and could possibly walk with you somewhere.
Anything was better than sitting around in your room doing absolutely nothing.
You sat up in your bed, shifting the blankets down around your waist as you grabbed your phone. You were suddenly much more focused on texting him than you'd been a few seconds ago.
You swiped through your contacts and briefly glanced over your guys old texts before you typed out something.
no that sounds stupid. You sound like every cringy guy asking "wyd" every 5 minutes.
"hey wassup, do you wanna walk together?"
okay now you sound like a dork
"heyy wanna hang out? maybe lets make It a date 👀👀"
okay now that's good. You gave yourself a tiny nod of approval before hitting send.
you settled with that and hit send
it didn't go through. Your eyebrows furrowed and you figured maybe it was your wifi. You took off your wifi then turned it back on again. You got off your bed and wandered over toward your bedroom window, holding your phone up as if physically getting closer to the outside world would magically summon better service.
You copied the message and sent it again. Still not going through? You started sending other messages wondering what the fuck was going on.
Your mouth fell open slightly as realization slowly settled over you. Eyes widening in offense as this scream of the lifetime was bubbling up in your throat.
You screamed in frustration which caused your 14 year old sister who was walking by your room to tell you to shut the hell up. You just flicked her off through the door, seriously middle schoolers and their attitudes.
"This fucking bastard" You thought in frustration. He blocked you? All of the sudden? And he didn't even bother to tell you why, fucking bullshit.
You let out a loud groan of frustration. You were starting to lose hope in all men. Seriously considering only dating girls for a moment instead of these annoying men. At least girls knew how to communicate.
You considered it for a solid three seconds before muttering
You throw your phone on the bed and looking out the window like some cringy mc of a romance movie who had been betrayed by the male lead.
If you thought this was bad, this was only the beginning.
Whenever you talked to other boys, went out on dates, and talked over the phone. They would always suddenly block you or just flat out ignore you. It started to take a bit of a toll on you, wondering if it was all your fault. If there was something wrong with you that cause seong-je and all these other guys to leave you.
But then it turned into something sharper, anger.
The latest guy, a boy from your school names choi woo-min. He had asked you out first, wanting to go on a date with me to get to know you. But not even a week later he blocked you and started to ignore you.
You decided to corner him after he left school because he always stayed for an hour longer to study in the schools library. So you watched him through the gaps between the bookshelves until he finally packed his things and left.
Very stalker-like but it was for a good cause!
You trailed behind him, keeping enough distance that he wouldn't notice you immediately. Your eyes stayed fixed on him as you followed, waiting for the perfect moment to confront him without someone interrupting.
Woo-min finally rounded the corner, that's when you struck. You lunged forward, your hand shooting to grab the back of his shirt. Pulling him back roughly, making him stumble before moving in front of him. Grabbing the front of his shirt, pinning him to the wall. Trying to be as intimidating as you could.
Woo-min stared at you with wide eyes, too stunned to even ask why the fuck you just did that. But also a bit fearful because he was so close to you, looking side to side to check if someone was seeing this. He obviously didn't want anyone seeing this interaction. He also did not want the soul beat out of him like last time for pursuing you.
"why the hell are you ignoring me? Huh?" You hissed at him, already frustrated out of your mind.
When he didn't answer you snapped at him. Unleashing all your frustration and confusion you've felt for the past few weeks.
"why the fuck is it whenever a boy asks me out, he ALWAYS either ignores me, or blocks me. HUH? Can you fucking speak or are you just gonna stay fucking silent."
Woo-min looked at you with a conflicted expression before deciding to just let everything loose. He raised his hands slightly trying to get you to calm the hell down and listen to him.
"its ..its your fucking ex okay? He literally beat the shit out of me. This cut right here."
He pointed at the small red lines on his cheek from his skin being split open. It was all too familiar to me, being seongje's ex girlfriend and all.
Woo-min let out a humorless laugh. "It's not from falling on my face. Surprising people actually believed that bullshit. It's because of him, seong-je or whatever the fuck. Just ...stay away from me alright? My body still feels sore."
And with that, he didn't elaborate further and firmly but softly pushed you off of him and he quickly scurried away. You stood there with wide eyes, you were frozen. Because what the fuck did he just say?
The man who'd told you we're no fun.
The man who had walked away like breaking your heart meant absolutely nothing.
And somehow, he was still interfering with your life.
he was the one who caused all this shit?
Oh he was gonna fucking die. Tonight.
You pulled your phone out of your skirt pocket to check the time. It was 5 pm now, all the union guys have to be there fucking around as if they don't have shit to do. playing games, smoking and whatever else.
You suddenly move, running now quickly going down the stairs and jumping the last two steps to get down faster. Your heart was pumping with adrenaline and anger, you needed to see seong-je now and confront him for this bullshit.
You ran most of the way to the bowling alley but also walked since you were human and ran out of breath. You should've just taken a taxi but it was too late now, you were pretty much there already.
Once you finally arrived, you took a big breath and went to the door. You were instantly met with two guys who you assumed to be union members based on their demeanors.
Their eyes widened slightly, cigarette smoke curling lazily from their mouths as they studied the unexpected visitor standing in front of them.
You quickly schooled yourself and gave them a small smile with a wave.
"hi" you said in a slightly awkward way because they were so intense.
"uh can you tell seongje to meet me outside?" The two union guys look at each other in a silent exchange then the other one speaks up in curiosity.
You expected them to say that of course, they were always wary of people they've never seen before speaking to them asking for one of their own.
"I just needed to talk to him about something. Can you please tell him to meet me outside? I'm l/n y/n by the way, and if he says that I should go away. Tell him that I said I don't give a shit and he better talk to me."
The union guys stared at me for a moment before they let out an amused laugh.
"alright, yes ma'am." One remarked jokingly before looking at the other one, telling them to stay there as they go and deliver the message to seongje.
You let out a small smile and went out the door, wandering a small distance away from it. Silently waiting for seong-je to come out so you could execute him for making your life harder than it already was.
The union guy, lim du-yeong. Walked down the stairs and scanned the area of the bowling alley until it landed on seong-je. He was playing on the arcade cabinet, looking focused on whatever he was playing.
Du-yeong's mouth curled into a small, knowing smirk.
He already knew this was going to be entertaining.
"yah! guem seong-je" du-yeong called out casually, a small smirk playing on his lips wanting to see seong-jes reaction to his next words.
"what" Seong-je answered, loudly enough to acknowledge him without taking his eyes off the screen.
"there's someone outside waiting for you." Seong-je perked up at that. He thought its probably some bastard he beat up before that now wanted revenge. A faint smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth, turning his body slightly toward du-yeong.
"so who is it? You got a name?"
His smirk faltered slightly, but not enough for du-yeong to notice.
Then his expression smoothed back into indifference.
He turned toward the arcade cabinet again, pretending the game had suddenly become very interesting.
"tell her to go away." He said in a flat voice.
Du-yeongs shit eating grin widened.
"She said she knew you were gonna say that, and doesn't give a shit."
Seong-je turned his head to look at du-yeongs smug face, as if to gauge if he was bullshitting and if I had actually said that. But then again, he knew I would say some shit like that.
He lowered his head, dragging one hand over his face before letting it fall back to his side.
He reluctantly paused his game and got up. Putting his hands in his windbreaker's pockets and walking with that familiar swagger. Walking up the stairs and opening the door without hesitation. Like he wasn't walking directly into a confrontation he'd been hoping to avoid, closing the door behind him.
You were still pacing before you suddenly stopped upon seeing the door open and his frame coming out of it. Staring at each other after a whole month of not seeing each other was definitely an experience.
You'd spent an entire month trying not to think about that face, but now it was right in front of you.
Seong-je's eyes softened slightly, only for a moment though before he lowered his head briefly. Clearing his throat, lifting his head back up with an expression settled to something almost unbothered.
Everything you had been preparing to say died in your throat upon the sight of him. The face you touched and kissed everyday, now looking at you like you were someone he wouldn't give the time of day.
"you fucking bastard." You started off, Your voice growing louder with every word until you were practically yelling directly in his face.
"this is the shit you're doing now? huh? You broke up with me and NOW you wanna fuck with my love life?" You were practically yelling now, all up in face.
"Every single fucking guy I talk to always ends up ignoring or blocking me. And now I found out its because of you!"
The words were spilling out and you couldn't even stop them, all the hurt, frustration, and grief that I've kept to myself all boiling over.
"You break my heart and now you're trying to mess with me even more? what kinda ..FUCKED UP SHIT IS THAT?"
Your voice cracked, badly.
You let out an involuntary sob, lowering your head trying to force down the sudden tightness in your throat. You didn't want to cry in front of him. Not after all the shit he just pulled, you wanted to be strong.
Seong-je didn't say anything in response. Just looked down at us with an unreadable expression, but if you looked close enough you'd almost see the faint tension around his eyes, guilt.
And now he was the reason you were standing in front of him, shaking and struggling to breathe through your tears.
Perhaps for the first time he feels like a complete asshole.
You suddenly grabbed his jacket with both hands pulling him back and forth. Tears spilling freely now as another broken sob forced its way out.
"I'm gonna fucking kill you!" You screamed, having a full on meltdown now.
"I'm really gonna fucking kill you" He let out a small sigh, just taking it. Not retaliating, not pushing you away or anything at all.
"all right all right" His voice was low and breathy, stripped of the usual teasing edge.
He was trying to calm you down but you were far from ready to calm down.
You continued to hit him, using one hand to repeatedly punch his shoulder with as much force as you could manage right now.
"Who the hell do you think you are? You're trying to ruin my life!"
Your screams gradually dissolved into sobs, only for another burst of anger to bring your voice back up again. Your breathing was becoming uneven, your face felt hot and wet. Your throat burned like hell from screaming.
And every time you tried to speak normally, another sob seemed to catch in your chest.
"You dump me telling me I'm no fun ..but then you show up again!?" Your words were choked and strangled. You could barely get them past your throat without sobbing again. Your eyes squeezed shut as tears spilled down your cheeks, hot and relentless like a damn waterfall.
His hand slowly came up and settled around your arm. Trying to anchor you somehow and stop your hysteria. Not even knowing what to say to you that'd make it better, his own chest tight.
"really .. stop crying." He whispered barely audible above your yelling and crying.
You shook your head, tears continuing to fall.
"I really hate you!" You scream even louder than before, your insistent punching, pulling and slapping stopped briefly. He takes that as his opening and pulls you into him, wrapping his arms around you as you sob fully against shoulder. He was trying to blink away his own glossy eyes, clearing his throat.
Your hands clenched against the back of his windbreaker, gripping the fabric as hard as you could. You wanted to shove him off of you but you couldn't, you've been craving his touch and comfort for so long. The warmth of him makes it impossible to pull away.
Your shoulders shook violently as you cried into him, your breathing coming in uneven, broken gasps.
"its all your fault, its all your fucking fault that I'm like this." You sob onto his neck.
"why the fuck did you break up with me?" You screamed the question through your tears.
"Because you're too good for me." He murmured in my ear. Trying to let you know it's not your fault or anything and you shouldn't be wasting your tears on a bastard like him.
His hand moved slowly against your back, patting it in an awkward attempt at comfort. Trying to comfort you the best way he could, since he never comforts people, ever.
"stop crying, hmm? No more crying." You instead sobbed harder at that. A loud, frustrated cry escaped you as you hit his back. He flinched slightly at the sudden impact but didn't let you go.
"come on, that's enough." He insisted. Seriously he felt like tears would fall from his eyes if you continued to sob like this.
You started to feel tired, after all that screaming and hitting all you could manage is broken sobs and shaky gasps. Your body calming down now slightly from the warmth of his body and his persistent patting on your back.
"I really missed you ..." You murmured, your voice hoarse and worn thin from screaming and crying. He let out a low hum in agreement at that, pressing his face to your hair.
"I love you" He said in a low murmur, so quiet you wouldn't catch unless he wasn't right in your ear. A sharp, startled breath caught in your throat.
You pull back slightly to look into his eyes, your own eyes puffy from all your crying. Letting out a small sniffle.
"then ..why did you break up with me?" You questioned, your voice is clearer now, but the sadness was still obviously there.
"A lot of reasons ...alright? I know I know I'm dumbass and I'll eventually get punished for this but, please forgive me, hmm?"
You should've immediately told said "fuck no."
Probably should've made him work for it.
But unfortunately you were still hopelessly in-love with him not to allow him back into your life immediately. You stared at him for a moment before letting out a soft sigh.
"fine ..I'll only forgive you under one condition."
A spark of curiosity glinted in his eyes, waiting silently for your next words. Even if he would never say it, he'd do anything to get you back.
His eyes widened slightly at that. That's not what he expected at all, he'd been prepared for some impossible demand. Instead asking for something so simple, making his expression soften.
An expression only you have saw and will ever see.
His hand slides to your cheek. His thumb softly wipes away a stray tear falling from your face, tilting your head up as he leans in. Pressing his lips against yours in a deep kiss.
