hey guys so i like actually got pigeons! like i adopted two from a pigeon rescue in chicago that were brought in as sick babies but have since made a full recovery :0
they bonded and are now considered a “married couple” but rn they’re still only like 6 months old so they just hang out a lot and are getting to know my house (they also have their own space in an xl dog crate)
pigeons are actually rly smart and we’re originally domesticated by humans somewhere in the Mesopotamia region i believe? and they’re only in cities bc they’re feral animals in the same way stray cats or dogs are. So they can actually live very long in captivity and are bred for it! (20 years vs 3-5 in the wild)
i have more pigeon facts but also i can’t wait to post funny videos of them once get to spend more time w them :) so stay tuned
