Haven't posted anything I've written in a while, so here we go!

Alright gentleman, we know that you enjoy watching every sport, and every show about every sport, but there’s something missing from these shows that makes girls withdraw. Many ladies have no idea what is going on. While that seems ridiculous, most girls don’t know much about every sport. We don’t have the database full of information about every player like you guys do. Maybe one or two, but we sadly don’t have a large piece of our brain filled with sports facts like you. Don’t freak, it’s an easy fix. Guys just need to help us understand so we can enjoy it too. Here are a few things that need explaining so we can enjoy watching sports with you.

1)   Inform us.

Seeing as there are so many shows about sports, Around The Horn, Pardon The Interruption, and so on, try to pick one or two and explain the format of the show. Who talks when, the topics of conversation, what the little points system, etc. If you explain to us what it all means, we’ll be able to follow what’s happening and get involved in the conversations.

2)   Drama.

This makes any kind of television interesting, no matter what you’re watching. If teams have rivalries or certain players openly hate each other, ladies love that shit. Tell us about the drama and point out the players it pertains to. Then we’ll want to keep on eyes on the TV for anything that might go down during the game. It’s a simple way to get us interested.

3)   Point out the best players on your team.

That way, we’ll know who to follow for the great shots, which are what make watching games exciting. We’ll definitely get interested if you point out the good-looking players too. That’s always a plus side to watching sports. Just saying.

4)   Answer our questions.

Instead of ignoring your girlfriend when she asks you a question, answer and explain. If you ignore the questions, we’ll continue to ask and bug you until you eventually give in and answer anyways. If you’re nice about it, we’ll probably stop bugging you. You have to understand how ladies feel. It’s sort of like you watching a Housewives show on Bravo. You have no idea who is who or what is happening. While yes girls will explain it to you, you probably don’t really care. Well, if we’re asking what is going on, at least you know we’re paying attention.

5)   Drinking.

This is something that always makes watching sports more exciting, duh. Crack open the beers and make it a fun environment. If you’re being super tense about a game, it’s awkward and silent. We know and understand that you’re very into it, and it’s life or death if you win or lose, but if you want us to sit and watch this with you, give us a break 

It was a weird, stressful, awkward day.
