Just watched the infamous Gillette ad.
Aha, so that's the problem?
Man are pissed of because some one with a lot of money told them not to cat call females? Instead of someone without a huge company?
Let's face it- all the people who blew up the Gillete advert, congrats. You played yourself. You showed the world that you think the message "don't be an ass, be a good person," is a direct attack on your personality, thus proving to all of us that you are, in fact, an asshole. All while giving free advertising to Gillette.
About the Gillette ad,
I’ve heard so many people trip over themselves explaining why certain companies won’t make something desgined for women that is useful and that we will benefit from. So a company puts out an ad specializing to the majority customer that sends a message meant only for those who exhibit toxic behavior and you all get mad? The ad did not say outright that all men say boys will be boys or that sexual harassment is exhibited by only boys, it stated that men who do exhibit these behaviors need to be checked and we all know very well they don’t listen to a woman so they need to be checked by men. Gillette knew they would reach more men than women with their ad as more than 70% of their customers are male. They never stated that women don’t do these actions, they just knew how to rescue a public problem with their customer base.
