Our kitty needs help
Hello dears. TW: Difficult topics ahead.
It has been almost a full year since the original founder and owner of this blog, C, passed away, leaving behind his spouse N (dats me) and our 3 lovely pets (two cats and a crested gecko). His sister J has since taken over the blog and we both want you all to know we appreciate everything you have done and continue to do to support this blog and us.
This is a post requesting your help to care for C's 12 year old kitty, Princess Bubblegum. Bubblegum has recently begun having severe difficulty breathing and through various treatment attempts, the vet discovered she has a polyp behind each ear drum. The vet believes this is the cause of the severe congestion and because of the location of them, it will require a special surgeon to have them removed so she can breathe comfortably again. (I have confirmed this with two other vets in the area as well.)
Bubblegum was truly C's special princess and continues to be a big part of my support system in his absence. Watching her struggle is a harsh reminder of his last moments and it kills me that I do not have the ability to scoop her up and ease her difficulties the way I would like to.
Because I am on SSI, covering the cost of this surgery on my own is out of the question. And while I did apply for Care Credit, most of what I was approved for was used to take the x-rays that diagnosed this problem.
Thus, I am reaching out and asking for help from our community and from the whole of the internet in general.
Because this is for a pet, I decided to fund-raise through a website called furlanthropy. This website pays directly to the vet/surgeon when the time comes and cannot be used outside of that purpose. Unlike go-fund-me, which would deposit funds into my account directly, this website ensures any donated funds go toward helping Princess Bubblegum and nothing else.
The link below will provide you with further information along with a video of her breathing struggles and the x-rays the vet took.
Furlanthropy is a Non-Profit Dedicated to Fundraising Pets in need.
If you don't trust this website or would like to help cover the costs of things such as transportation (as all of the local surgeons are over an hour drive), you can also donate using our paypal, [email protected]
If you aren't able to donate please consider sharing this fundraiser. With it being so close to the date that C was lost, I greatly fear losing her as well. Reblogging this and sharing it on your socials will greatly help.
Thank you so much,
~ N and Princess Bubblegum
I have been unemployed for several months now but I will try to donate as much as I can spare at the moment. After hearing your own struggles through your YouTube video I sincerely hope Princess Bubblegum is going to get better soon. Both of you deserve all the love and support!
