SOTD: Sisters of Mercy - "Alice"

Today was a pretty low-stress day! I did a few hours of reading for my creative writing class in one of my college's study rooms, and added my post to the discussion board, PLUS 1 of the 2 required replies.

I also did an hour or so of review for my German test tomorrow and made flashcards in the evening (43 of them! Hopefully I don't do too badly). It doesn't help that I'm still fighting off a sickness.

SOTD: Coffin Moth - "Fear of Loving Fear"

Last night, I got 1 of 3 posts done for my creative writing class before the week even started (great!), and got ideas for my 2nd and 3rd post. I still have ~50 pages to read of "Short Takes" (need to get to page 170) and I have to read a chapter + an essay from "Tell It Slant." I also finished a German assignment before I went to bed.

I almost skipped German today; ended up meeting up with friends in that class beforehand and just went with them (+ got invited ice skating on Friday). I'm glad I did!

For general psychology, I have to read chapter 6 by Wednesday + make a discussion post for that, too. I also have 2 quizzes due Wednesday and an exam due later in the week (weekly exams; not as bad as it sounds, only 25 questions). Lots of posting and reading this week...

I'm trying to get everything done as soon as possible so I can focus on reading the WA Driver's Guide. I'm procrastinating by being productive. Strange.

I didn't get as much done today as I wanted, but I still got a pretty good amount over with. Plus, I started my psych notes, even if I didn't finish them.

SOTD: Rosegarden Funeral Party - "Once In A While"

[If you saw me post something similar 2 days ago with yesterday's date... nuh-uh. Also this is a longer post! Oops!]

On Wednesday, I had a German test (that I finished in 10 minutes… it was pretty easy but I'm still anxious with how quickly it went by. Confident but cautious). I also got 24.5/25 on my second psychology exam! And I'm pretty proud of it :) academic comeback (perhaps)!!

I also read about 50 pages of "Short Takes" by Judith Kitchen for my creative writing class! Finally… Plus, I uploaded my last post response for the week, and submitted an edited piece of nonfiction for the class.

I also went to Maple Bar and got myself a tasty drink (trick-or-treat lotus) :p

I have a lot to get done this weekend: read about 200 more pages of "Short Takes," finish a (pretty easy) German assignment, plan out my schedule for psych, do some reading for my driver's license, and I'm still trying to get a job (I could maybe score one at Spirit Halloween?)

Also, I had my first real German I class today and... yeah... that really sucked.

I realized this morning that I didn't have any clean jeans so I had to wear dress pants (which meant I had to wear a dress blouse) and I looked kind of professorish. Which also sucked because everyone here wears a tshirt and jeans -- when they aren't wearing pajama bottoms ('cause in FL we're just that classy) (for the record: I only wear pajama bottoms within the confines of my own room.

I'm also about to goto the newly renovated cafeteria for lunch. I hate the renovations.  It's completely awful. I don't know where anything is, and it's really hard to get soup because of the ridiculous way the soup station is set up. Whenever I go there now I feel like a freshman.

On top of all that, I still have another class so I can't just stay in my room and wallow in self-pity.

I guess yesterday was so awesome that the universe had to balance it out by making today a no-good, evil, unbearably awful day.
