hands looking to clutch
Saxloch | rated: E | wc: 18k | post-canon, southern gothic, fucked up family values, putting Saxon through an emotional wringer | companion piece to this AU
Saxon’s late twenties aren’t supposed to be like this. He’s supposed to be on top of the world, living large and in fucking charge. Well, he’s in charge alright––of fixing every damn mistake his dad made. He’s in charge of navigating this new life for his family, stepping into the now vacant patriarchal role. It’s his phone that won’t stop ringing, his sister who has no idea what she’s doing with her life, and a mom who simply turned to the next strong male figure in her life for all of the answers. The only person who doesn’t seem to need Saxon is his brother.
But as the foundation of Saxon’s life is shattered and despite his own words being the ones to drive the wedge between them, he finds that maybe he’s the one who needs Lochy. And in more ways than one.
