Ninjago Theory - is Geo Lost Munce Royalty?
Okay yeah, really weird mid-night shower thought, but what the heck. Been watchin DR for a while now, and this purple man is so freaking sweet.
So, looking back at master of mountain, I noticed that there was only one other munce character who pronounced people's names without adding the 'M', the Munce Queen Murtessa. Now despite clearly being a hybrid, Geo Describes himself as a "Munce with the coloring of a geckle", makes me inclined to believe that he had more contact with that side of his heritage, however he doesn't follow the same speach patterns that most munce do.
Now this fact could be chalked up to a lot of factors. Geo left and got lost at a relatively young age and he just lost the accent over time, or it could be from the geckle side. However, they seemed to follow a similar pattern with names, only with 'g'. "Geo" is a g name, how would a self described munce end up with a 'g' name unless he was named by a Geckle.
What if...
Like right after the blades were stolen, and the conflict began to grow between the Geckles and the Munce, there was one last chance at peace. An arranged union between leaders or leader adjacent, (ei a member of the Munce royalty, and someone chosen by the Geckle chancellor) and Geo being the product of this. The attempt obviously fails but, it would explain a lot as to how a child of two seemingly waring clans was born.
Geo being born of a munce royal, would explain why he seems to have a higher level of communication skills compared to other munce. And while yes this could also be explained by his geckle side, Geo is much less culturally like a geckle. Geckles are shown to be very rule focused and Geo, is decidedly more of a free spirit, as shown through his art. Also as previously stated, he does not describe himself as a geckle, so I'm inclined to believe that he wasn't raised by them. If he was remotely related to royalty then while he would face a lot of backlash and racism, the munce would have some obligation to at least make sure he didn't die.
This could also explain why he doesn't remember his parents. Because the alliance went so bad that both were killed in the crossfire, leaving Geo without any memories of them, because he was too young.
Timeline wise it would match up too, we know that Lilly left the blades, before Cole was born. How exactly long the time gap before the death of Griefbringer and Cole's birth is unknown, but if Geo is the same age as Cole he would be needed to be born around the time of the blades theft. Perfect timing for a last attempt at peace before the skull sorcerer rises.
So, to recap, this is a rambling about how Geo could be the product of an arranged marriage between the munce and geckle as a last ditch effort to establish peace after the blades were stolen that went sour. Born with the blessings of munce royalty, given the name of a geckle, and raised as an outsider to both.
All Hail the disgraced Prince Geo!
(It would also play into the whole fusion power too)
