So... I've seen ship memes like this around but can never decide which ship to do for them so at this point I just did... many 0v0;

After doing my three Ghirahim otps I had an urge to basically do ship charts for the other possible ships with the characters I love to ship Ghira with and so: GanondorfZant ... has very similar vibes to GanGhira XD

I was tagged by @yiga-hellhole for this little thing, and I did not feel like drawing with my fingers so I picked the death scene from Twilight Princess. (I am contemplating doing it again with GhiraZant how I write them after the shitty behavior kinda was cooked out of their relationship.)

I don’t ship them, but they did occur in a very sketchy way before Ghirahim got Zant like the weird trading card he is. A lotta manipulation and such here, and this is greatly summarized off the top of my head on what they’ve got going here, and I figure that Zant absolutely didn’t feel much either way for the I can fix him/I can make him better argument. And Ganondorf didn’t particularly care either way about the sex so much as “what the fuck??? What is this??? Alien looking creature???”

Ohhh interesting!!

So Zant is a funny weird deranged guy who wanted power and couldn't get it and wanted revenge and purpose and couldn't get it alone, and Ganondorf is a goryo who is gutting is own humanity on purpose to cling to the idea that he is the Special Boy of the gods, and who believes his journey is Very Different from Zant's, even though it's literally not, and they are stuck together in a codependent nightmare where he has to keep on pretending, to Zant and to himself, that he is a god. And Zant depends on that god to keep the agency he wants and to keep pursuing his lofty military goals.

They both think they're the main character kind of. This is also one of the very rare pairings where I can see Ganondorf as fully embodying his more dominating persona, out of pure survival and necessity. To me, Zant is obsessed and dependent and yeah, probably kind of in love in his own special way, and Ganondorf is horrified by the forced proximity and dependence and hates seeing himself in that pathetic sniveling guy, but it's also the only connection he has left. I think Ganondorf is kind of a horrible, cold bully that must sometimes give Zant enough comfort to get by, and be VERY careful not to actually get vulnerable (even though you know, perhaps he would need to given the bullshit he went through). Zant feels like a special princess for being chosen and need to believe he is special to his God, the way Ganondorf must believe he is special to his own.
