A little Black Friday #baking 💖 I forgot to buy the cream on Wednesday 🙃🙃🙃 so had to make yet another grocery store run this morning to get a double-batch of orange-currant scones baked. I used my favorite cream scone recipe from @alicelouisewaters The Art of Simple Food and also cut the scones into 16 in each batch instead of 8. I’m taking at least half to the store with me today for my fellow booksellers so thought smaller sized scones would be smarter since there will be a LOT of other food there from everyone else. 🤤 I broke out my grandmother’s china for a pretty sunbeam picture (look, I’ve suddenly found myself with a rather large amount of gorgeous antique dishes so I’m gonna be fancy as hell when I want ✨ ).
