Friendly reminder that not all countries are perfect. America is certainly a shit show but places like Sweden and Japan aren't perfect. In fact, it can be detrimental to their social growth.
I have studied Japanese culture and language for many years and been to Japan numerous times.
It's an amazing country! I love it there. Everything is so convenient, the food is incredible, the culture is brimming with politeness and hygiene.
However, Japan is a hugely sexist country and faces numerous problems with social awareness like mental health, racism, and other such topics. Japan isn't a bad country! But it has many problems. These are things that can be improved upon, and awareness is the first step!
Learn about the cultures of the world and learn FROM them but also understand they arent perfect.
