I am why you feel watched in the woods. I'm the prickle at the back of your neck when there is no breeze. I'm the creaking of the branches on a silent still day. I'm the air of unease when you suddenly can't recognize the path in front of you. I'm why the path closes up in front of your eyes and I am why the birds stopped singing. I am why suddenly the air in your lungs feels so so heavy. Why the clouds seem to skid by unreasonably quickly. I am the thrumming in your ears as every fiber of your body screams in terror, screams that danger is near, just out of sight. I am the panic in your chest that begs you to recognize that something is very very wrong. I am why the vibes wrap around your feet and why the trees reach out and grab at you. I am why you look up and have no idea where you came from or how to leave. I am what watches you in the woods and I will not be crossed.
