thinking about how there used to be actual laws against making contact with trolls. you could face genuine legal consequences because someone thought you seemed like you’d gone into the woods at night and talked to a troll.

FUCK ALL OF YOU I am drawing a troll
Trolls!
When i but a 4-6 year old, and I was going to skiing classes in norway during winter holidays (Yes that when one learn kids to ski, when else?) we had have story time when skiing class was over.
AND THEY TOLD US THERE WERE TROLLS!!!
We had story time in inside, and other adults would bang on the walls to be "trolls" during the story time about the very same folkloric being.
So i REFUSED to go inside for story time, because CLEARLY that when the trolls arrived to get us :(
Tbh I understand child!me logic here...
But anyway the ski instructors then called for my parents, who then arrived to see a Very Upset Child Olga.
They asked me why I did not want to go inside and i, pretty logically, but while being very upset, said:
"There are TROLLS there. Would YOU go into a place, when they tell you it will make TROLLS appear!!!!!!"
This is both a growing up austisic and growing up in fenno-scandinavia tale 👀
I didn't think I was gonna do Inktober so I didn't really prepare but I decided to try & design one of the characters from the comic I'm making that I haven't drawn before. He doesn't have three heads, so the reason why I drew a three-headed troll was to kinda play around with faces & such. The one on the right is closest to what I was thinking of. He's supposed to be a mountain troll, they're a lot bigger than forest trolls & aren't as smart, but are way more dangerous.
new character beast name of mohesill
women will literally be forest trolls

Danish folklore || The Troll
Trolls are nature spirits, not dissimilar to fauns, dwarves, and elves. A troll is a mythical human-like being from Scandinavian folk beliefs. From friendly giants to devilish human-like characters, their appearance is often illustrated with coarse or grotesque features. They live underground, in rocks or caves, and are typically thievish, strong and rather stupid. They kidnap people, most often children, who are then replaced with one of their own troll children - a so-called changelig. Nordic literature, art, and music from the romantic period and later, have described trolls in different ways - most often as a native people with large ears and noses.
