This might be too big for one ask. But could explain how sundial of the infinite works with different end of turn effects? Examples: Unearth, Feldon of the third path's ability, Final Fortune ect. I think it works sometimes to get around end of turn effects and sometimes it doesn't. Thanks in advance ^__^
Hereās the easiest way to figure it out for yourself:
Effects that lastĀ āuntil end of turnā end when the cleanup step begins.
Effects that happen āat the beginning of the/your (next) end stepā trigger when your end step begins. (Older cards sometimes phrased this asĀ āat end of turnā.)
When you end the turn, the game exiles all objects on the stack and skips straight to the cleanup step. This means you can avoid effects in theĀ āend stepā category, but not in theĀ āuntil end of turnā category.
All of the examples you listed fall into the end step category and can be averted by ending the turn. Note that the only way to completely avoid these triggers is to end the turn in the end step once the triggers have already gone on the stack. Otherwise theyāll just trigger at the beginning of the next end step. (Final Fortune is excepted here because it can only trigger on the end step of the created turn.)
