i think about it every time i open spotify and see evbo dropped another 6-7 new stupid spotify shorts
(This head canon is from an animatic I storyboarded 5-6 months ago on paper that I completely forgot about, and recently stumbled upon.)
The parkour fighters have heeled boots because then they’re way more prone to breaking their ankles when doing the parkour jumps.
And it was seen as a sign of skill to be able to to crazy jumps in heels.
So on top of them having to go through harder challenges/jumps to rank up and having parkour races they’re doing it all in heels.
But when the old man removed the layer he also removed the heeled boots.
(I think this carried from me having tons of fun drawing heeled boots in my last hyper fixation, and I wanted a lore reason to do it in my at the time current one?)
Anyway, when Seawatt gives Evbo chain boots, they only come in heels. So Evbo struggles at first because he’s not used to that kind of shoes. And of course that comes with a ton of vine booms.
(There’s no way I’m the first person to ever head canon this so apologies if this ends up being a repeat of someone else’s.)

Evbo is a grasshopper cause they’re green and jumpy, Seawatt is a spider cause. Idk I think it’d be cool. Emf is an atlas beetle bc they’re kinda look like he. TEC is a scorpion and he stings people mid battle with his tail :3 UM that’s all because I don’t actually know that many bugs
Also I know spiders aren’t insects just uh. Yeah 👍
