#focus groups

Hi everyone! My name is Kat and I am a college student who is passionate about the intersection between health, patient well-being, and healthcare provider interactions.

I am currently recruiting focus group participants for a study on chronic pain patients’ experiences with healthcare professionals. I am interested in learning more about the lived experiences of chronic pain patients, especially when it comes to their interactions with medical providers.

You may be eligible if:  

You have been diagnosed with chronic pain or are seeking a diagnosis.

You are at least 18 years old.

You speak English.

What will you do as part of this study?

You will participate in a 60-90 minute virtual or face-to-face focus group. Focus groups will be audio recorded.

You will discuss helpful and harmful provider interactions during the diagnosis and treatment of your chronic pain.

You will lead the creation of a set of recommendations for healthcare providers.

You will be invited to provide feedback about the research via email.

Will you receive compensation?

You will receive a $30 virtual gift card after participating in the focus group.
