As a socialist, I'm not actually the biggest fan of Marx or Marxism, but I do love how Marx and later Marxist thinkers, in discussing defining identity through consumption, perfectly predicted the exact kind of mindless "patriotic nationalist" who bases their entire personality around buying "anti-woke" products even if they suck ass. It's really funny because that exact type of guy would be the most likely to throw out "Marxist" as an insult without even understanding what it means.
