fantasy cruise, holiday ball: she’s thrilled to be finding @fmdjade at the gingerbread house decorating station. chaos ensues.
Goal oriented has her beelining for the one and only activity she’s here for tonight at the holiday ball (aside from the usual D’s — drink, dance and dine): the building of gingerbread houses and the decorating of sugar cookies. It’s an event she has looked forward to since she first caught wind of it, and she would be damned if she did not leave tonight with either one of them.
Surprise colors her expression upon arrival — not at the expectations of seeing the stations of baked goods and the equipment that followed — but by the all too familiar face she is greeted with, a happy and pleasant surprise to see the younger female too stationed by the tables. It hasn’t been long since they last saw each other (read: just a few hours ago, in fact), but she’ll never not take the opportunity to spend more time with her dear cousin, an attempt at making up for the times they’ve lost.
“Didn’t think I’d find you here tonight,” tongue in cheek greeting, she seals the deal with arms wrapping around the waist of the younger, drawing her in for a back hug. Such a simple action still brings her so much comfort and joy, warmth blooms inside her chest at the adoration she bears for the younger, but she also thinks it’s on account of Jiae herself who has grown to become an indispensable part of her life. Sneaking a peek over her shoulders, her tone is teasing. “I can’t wait to see how yours will turn out.”
