》     》     [ KISS ]:     after having kissed the receiver, the sender gently rests their forehead against theirs, still holding them as they do so.

the  weeks  leading  up  to  the  tournament  were  rough.  for  the  both  of  them,  and  it  was  a  surprise  that  any  of  them  were  in  any  shape  to  compete.  they  were  under  way  more  stress  than  a  teenager  should  have  to  be  under.  but  still  they  did  as  expected  and  for  some  of  them,  they  did  what  they  were  expected  and  some  like  herself  felt  like  they  were  the  biggest  letdown  ever.

what  was  even  worse  was  seeing  her  brother  fight  her  boyfriend  and  she  felt  some  kind  of  way  cheering  for  one  over  the  other  but  anyone  who  knew  her  knew  that  every  point  hawk  got  over  robby,  they  could  see  her  face  light  up  even  if  she  wasn't  being  animated  about  it.  laura  was  proud  of  him,  more  than  she  could  ever  say  and  she  was  proud  of  how  far  he  had  come  and  the  obstacles  he  had  endured.  so  when  he  won  the  final  point,  she  couldn't  help  herself.  she  cheered  out  loud  and  jumped  up  and  down.  

robby  would  understand,  she  knew  her  brother  well  enough  that  he  knew  she  would  always  have  his  back  but  this  was  hawk's  moment  and  he  deserved  it.  laura  would  deal  with  the  consequences  later  (  and  there  would  be  consequences  ),  and  even  more  after  she  took  off  running  across  the  mat  and  jumped  into  his  arms,  her  own  wrapping  over  his  shoulders.  

lips  crashed  into  his  in  a  kiss  as  the  adrenaline  still  was  high  and  she  had  happy  tears  trailing  down  her  cheeks  as  she  soon  held  his  face  in  her  hands  as  he  held  her  up.  she  kissed  him  because  she  was  happy.  .  she  kissed  him  because  she  wanted  to  show  him  just  how  much  she  loved  him.  soon  their  foreheads  rested  against  one  another's  and  she  just  beamed  at  him,  staying  where  she  was  because  he  felt  like  home  to  her.  it  was  the  only  place  she  wanted  to  be  "congratulations,  baby.  i'm  so  proud  of  you."  and  she  closed  her  eyes  before  she  hugged  him,  her  face  burying  in  his  neck.  laura  never  doubted  for  a  moment  that  he  could  win,  she  just  needed  him  to  believe  it  himself.

Making Pancakes

"You wanna warm up the syrup babe?" V was mid-flip on the final pancake to be added to their already precarious breakfast tower. He looked to Kerry and raised an eyebrow. Had he been able to do that before Johnny?

"Yeah sure, how long should I throw it in for?"

"Uh… I'm not sure. Try like, a minute?" V had never had a microwave like the one that sat dormant on their new kitchen counter. "You're the microwave master, Ker. I'm just a lowly stove peasant." He shot a grin over at his lover, nudging an elbow gently into the exposed skin by the edge of Kerry's apron. The gag gift was finally coming in handy as Kerry turned to face V with "kiss the cook" on full display.

"Ha ha Mr. Comedy. I haven't used one of these things in, fuckin'... I dunno, 20 years? We'll guess a minute." He placed the maple syrup in the microwave and watched as V tried, and failed, to toss and flip the pancake with one swift flick of the wrist, sending the pancake tumbling onto the stove instead. Laughter filled the kitchen as V scrambled to pick it back up and add it to the pile on his side.

"I'll get it one of these days, I promise." Kerry swore V's smile was infectious, radiating joy from his face as he set down the spatula to turn and hug his mainline. He couldn't help but return the gesture, letting a laugh slip out as hands slid around opposite waists.

"I have no doubt you will babe. Guess we're just gonna have to keep practicing." The microwave dinged when Kerry planted a kiss to V's cheek. His hands found themselves drifting down the long expanse of V's bare back, finding their home on an equally bare ass. "But who the fuck thought cooking nude was a good idea. All this breakfast and all I wanna eat is you."
