#flannel flags

I call them flannel pride flags even though they don’t all look a lot like the typical flannel pattern, but I think it’s the best description. Don’t @ me

What I find makes the best flannel pattern is

a white stripe, especially in the middle (like the lesbian, trans, and aro flags)

a mix of different brightness levels (like the aro, non-binary, and gender-fluid flags)

symmetry (like the trans flag)

about five stripes (like the lesbian, trans, aro, and gender-fluid flags)

a colour scheme that isn’t all over the place (negative examples are the gay and pan flags; positive ones are the lesbian, aro, and gender-fluid flags)

my top three for this in no particular order are the trans, aro, and gender-fluid flags

What I find makes the flags the most recognizable

whites, greys, and blacks (like the ace and aro flags)

few stripes (like the bi, polyam, and non-binary flags)

no extreme contrast in colours  (negative examples are the gay and pan flags; positive ones are the lesbian, aro, and gender-fluid flags)
