Its true. I never thought I had an addictive personality but I have proven myself wrong. Since Mid April I have been building on my ‘get healthy’ motto, walking at lunch hour for up to 5K, adding in 45-60 minutes of cardio 4-5 times a week. I’m honing in on my eating habits, making healthier choices for treat foods (tortilla chips no more, its white navy bean chips for the win, etc), and meal prepping my meals on Sundays.
And checking my Fitbit to see where I stand each moment of the day. I am addicted to hitting my goal of 10K steps a day; to push past it, to see how many I can get in this week compared to last week. I’ve found myself in bed on a ‘slow’ day checking and if there are a few hundred steps that will bring me to 10K, I’m back up and walking the hallways of my apt building like a mad woman. Fitbit is keeping me in check and then, it happened.
For the past 2 weeks my fitbit has been moody. Sometimes after a full charge, 1 hr and 40 minutes later the battery life has dropped to 50%. By nights end it needs a full charge again. And then, it happened. I put it on the Charger Tuesday night, Wednesday morning it was still dead so I took it and the charger and went on my way to work hoping I could charge it on the computer while I sat on my ass at work. That didn’t work out for me, it was dead.
So I got on the social media network Facebook and put out feelers with my peeps to see if anyone had a charger I could borrow to test out if it was the fitbit or the charger that no longer works... And then I got on a chat line with Fitbit and they were great! They had me do a few things and although my warranty expired last November, they offered to send me a complimentary charge cord to try. If this does not fix my fitbit issues, then they are offering me a 25% off code to buy a new fitbit. While this is happening, my cousin stepped up to the plate to offer me hers to test, which I picked up last night and charged my fitbit.... It was light up like a Christmas tree this morning and then suddenly, it blew a fuse and went dark.
I am lost without my Fitbit. I shall seek out and replace it shortly.
