I should’ve have been dead at five. I’m now thirty-something. A huge part of me living this long and continuing to thrive (not merely survive) goes to the NHS, as someone with a #raredisease. I am SO proud we share the same birthday too. ‪—————————————‬ So, today I say a massive #thankyou to all the wonderful staff of who support me every single day to live my best life, especially the incredible woman (89% percent of you). I am forever grateful and I will always have your back. ————————————— Also, reflecting back on a incredible year and an exciting year ahead, this goes out to all you marginalised communities all over the world (#women, #LGBTQ+, #POC, #disabled people) who feel isolated and lost. Know that things will be okay and you are doing amazing. You are loved and your life is valued. You make the world a better place. You inspire me. I first met Will last April at an amazing hackathon we worked on together with some incredible creatives to do a project for Papel & Caneta; which hopefully, we’ll finally be able to share with you very soon. Will is awesome, and we’re both the type of people who like to go outside of our comfort zone as well being open to our limited experiences to push boundaries. ————————————— Anyway, we had a wonderful time chatting all things intersectionality, diversity, creativity, projects, and future collaborations together. He is a very special friend. ————————————— Not only did he help me co-host my workshop and joined me for Day 2 at eurobest last Wednesday, but he stayed a couple days at my home and we had so much fun together. ————————————— I really couldn’t have done the workshop or it have been a huge success without him. He made my first experience at Eurobest that much more extraordinary. ————————————— I first met him at the D&AD Festival 2016 in April 2016 where we were both keynote speakers and we have been good friends ever since; and I even went to Amsterdam last July after Mark invited me to visit his hometown and base. Mark is one of the most kind, smiling, caring, friendly, and supportive people I know.
