Since I just broke my own heart a bit with this idea, you can all share the pain:
Chris comforting Buck because he knows what it's like to lose a parent.

BOBBY NASH in season 6
My fave romance trope is A and B are falling in love but both too shy/in denial to admit it. Maybe A has a kid and they both have abandonment issues. B does not have a kid, but also has abandonment issues to a different degree. A's kid adores B and insists of meeting B all the time so makes for awks convo between two lovers-in-denial.
A is a medic by profession, B is a civilian, not a first responder.
They kee dancing around each other and admitting their feelings, although they act like a couple, they do couple-y things, but dint mame it and everyone around them even B's parent figures and A's family can tell. They still do this song and dance until An Incident happens.
Maybe B gets kidnapped or drugged (or both) and it has adverse effects bc B has underlying health issues that their whumper was not aware of or just did not care about. A is in the team of first responders who get to B in time to see her flatline and put his back into trying to resuscitate her in the ambulance, begging her not to let go. An accidental confession maybe slips out here (in front of A's team/family, who are heartbroken that it took his love practically dying for him to realise and admit his true feelings).
His compressions and all that adrenaline take her out of cardiac arrest, she's still unconscious and gets her to hospital in time.
She ends up needing a blood transfusion and A offers himself immediately, saying he did a blood test upon her request and his and her blood types are compatible. The docs administer this transfusion, but theyre 1s too late and she ends up in a blood-loss coma, due to complications with her specific injuries.
They find out that herbcomplications happened due to medical neglect in a previous hospital visit and A loses his shit and has to be restrained by his team, bc some stupid wannabe dishing doc not paying enough attention almost resulted in his love dying and thats Not Okay. B's father-figure has to step in and. Tell A to cool off and that he can't help her from inside a prison cell. He knows and approves of his guy being romantically involved with his little girl and tells A as much and states that the doc is going to be dealt with my the police for medical negligence that can easily be seen as an attempted murder.
Fast forward (days or weeks, your choice), A is waking up and immediately recognises her father-figure but does not recognise any of the others, his 2nd wife (the woman he married after her bio aunt was killed in a housefire), his team of first responders family.
A shows up last to the hospital bc he wanted to take his son to his grandma. He is unaware entirely even though his colleagues family try to prep him and is caught completely off guard, devastated when he greets her as "mi amor 😍" and her immediately response is "... Do I know you?🤔"
Next few days is the team tryna get her to remember, telling her all about however long they've known each other. And she thinks A is some weirdo in the team. But can't help bit feel these emotions, this attraction towards him.
Rewatching May Day, and once again seeing the fear in Buck's eyes and the fact they always make his yelling the focus point, now I have the strong desire/need/craving for fic recommendations where people mistake Bobby for Buck's dad.
I didn't ask for this but umm.
The Parallel of Buck going to Bobby after the Crane Incident and him going to Eddie at the end of Halloween when Both of Them Ask him What he Wants them to Say because Buck Hates the Silent Treatment from People he Loves
