The Road
This is the way the bridge burns, this is the way the world turns holding force, bearing bricks, stacked upon the sands of time that once supported space, expanding slowly like the universe, marking your place. You take your time, mulling over all that I’ve said. It’s a crossroads, you can’t double back. So point your arrow forward toward your truth. There is no time like now, to get back on track.
Good morning. I took a walk at Lettuce Lake Park recently to clear my head and reset a bit. It is one of those places I go when I need some quiet and a little perspective. As I was walking, I noticed how often the path curves just enough that you cannot see what is ahead. You know it continues, but you do not know exactly where it is taking you in that moment. It struck me how much that feels like life. Even at this stage, I do not always have a clear view of what is next. There are still decisions without guarantees, still moments where I am simply taking the next step without having the full picture. What has changed over time is not the uncertainty. It is how I respond to it. I trust it more. I trust that I will figure it out. I trust the people around me. I trust the experiences that have shaped me. And I have learned to give myself a little more grace when things are not perfectly clear. That walk was a simple reminder that I do not need to see the whole path. Just the next step. Sharing a short reflection this morning if you need the same reminder.
Prisoners of our thoughts
We all fall victim to our very own thoughts. They hold us hostage and keep us captive. They pull us from side to side tearing our minds apart ripping our sanity to pieces. It’s a constant struggle that we face on a daily basis, for with each day comes new challenges. Our old beliefs versus or new beliefs. Our old ways versus our new ways. Our old selves versus our new selves. We are constantly…

Reset your life - Find your Focus - Find Direction
Focus. This word “focus” is my first word for today. Why? So many struggle to focus. With their thoughts bouncing off the walls, they just cant seem to get a grip. I know the feeling, I’ve been there it’s horrible. You want to focus but your mind just refuses. There’s just too much going on in there and it feels like its malfunctioning and your head just wont stop. For myself I realised at…
Spotting the Arrows
Life doesn't come with sign posts,
Only on walks are they easily seen,
Otherwise you have to ask,
Have to keep on speaking,
Saying I don't know, can you tell me?
Can someone explain this thing for me?
Somehow questions form arrows,
And exploration find maps.
How odd is the adult world,
How lost are we all,
Making up the steps,
Playing pretend we can do this,
And then being amazed that we can.
So I look for the arrows,
For the people listening to my confusion
And then trying to help me with it.
