“Damn’ Ignis—how’dyou even—” he pauses owlish eyes blinking in wonder, practically holding hisbreath. When he finally exhales, it’s a soft breath , accented with an appreciativesmile. “Thank you Ignis. I can’t believe we went through the trouble for me.”

“Thanks,” says Noct. The remark gave him pause but he thinksnothing more on it. Specs always praises him one way or another,encouraging him that way. He’s grateful for it.

“I, nothing in particular? I guess? I dunno, just been having these, weird thoughts lately.” Noctis shrugged, shrinking in on himself a little. “I mean, it’s hard to explain.” He exhaled sharply, brows furrowing as his lips pressed together tightly. “I’m not... exactly, princely material, in many ways. I’m kinda hardly a functioning person by myself.”
