yeah so it’s starts off mostly the same. Reki gets hit by the car, gets knocked the fuck out, and wakes up in a weird place.

On difference is that this time this weird place is Adam’s fucking camera room. You know, the one with all the TVs that he uses to watch S and Langa.

And to top it all off, Reki is gagged with some cloth and his arms are bound together with weird mitten things that stop him from using his hands.

Reki, very understandably, freaks out.

He then notices the TVs, sees that all of them are various angles of Langa skating at S(as well as a few that aren’t) and freaks out more. He starts trying to look for his phone, only to find it missing.

And Adam, the creepy mf that he is, comes out from the shadows and says “looking for this?” While holding up a very broken looking phone. He tuts a bit, saying “I can’t have you call for help now can I. Besides, I doubt they’ll be looking for you.” 

Reki starts trying to refute it through the gag but Adam just laughs.

“Oh don’t be so stubborn. We both know it’s true. After all, haven’t you been avoiding them? Telling them to leave you alone? And even if you do notice you’re missing, you are nothing. You aren’t special, you don’t shine. They are diamonds and you are nothing more than rough.”

And ofc, Reki is an Insecure Boi so this causes him to pause a bit. 

Adam says he’ll bring him some food later since he “can’t have him starving before the Main Event” and leaves.

And now that Adam is gone, the situation had really start to set in. Reki is alone and tied up with no way out and no way to contact anyone. There are no windows and the only way out is the door that he just saw Adam leave and even if it was unlocked he can’t open it with the mitten things. He can’t call out because of the gag and he has no idea how long he’s been in here nor how long Adam will keep him here. A small breakdown and nap later, it’s the next day and there’s a small plate of food and fucking Adam.

Adam feeds him (hrk) then starts playing back footage from last night’s(this nights? A night ago??? Reki has no idea what time it is) skaters, specifically Langa.

He then starts gushing about Langa and how “his Eve”(it caused me mental damage to write that) has lost his spark. Reki also notices that while Langa is still winning and doing pretty good, he looks....empty. Blank.

Another nap, more food from Adam when he wakes up, more looking at creepy footage that Adam just has playing on his TVs.

At some point Adam takes off the gag to talk to Reki about Langa, Reki says something, and Adam decides to slap him and roughs him up a bit(more since I mean cmon the lad got beat up in an ally and hit by a car and has gotten bare minimum medical attention(Tadashi was the one to clean up the open wounds dw I’m not letting Adam anywhere near the boi like that)), puts the gag on tighter than before, and leaves. Fuck you Adam 

Reki hates watching the footage especially when he’s alone in the room. At least when Adam’s here he’s not on the footage. At least when Adam’s in the room he doesn’t have’t watch him touch Langa and flit around him. At least when Adam’s here he knows Langa is safe.

Now back with the Sk8 Family

The first day, no one really says anything about it. After all, as of recently it wasn’t super uncommon for no one to see Reki, so they just shoot him texts.

The second day when no one has seen him is when they start getting a bit worried. Reki hasn’t responded to any of them which is very unlike him. Not even a quick “I’m fine” or even a thumbs up.

Eventually, it’s Langa who decides to go to his house and check in with his mom to see if Reki is doing okay.

Only that’s when he learns she thought he had been spending the night with friends.

(Before he broke the phone Adam sent a message to his mom about how he would be “spending the next few days with a friend” and that “he’ll be fine, but the service is bad and he might not be able to respond to any texts or calls but know he’s fine ;D”(he is not fine))

The third day is when the panic sets in and Reki is officially shown on the news as missing and everyone is having a bad time. Joe and Cherry are worried for their red son friend, Shadow is tense and keeping an eye out, and Cherry also does a lot of research about where he last was hacking, he hacked the police station for info as well as some traffic cameras but they were all corrupted in the presumed three hour window Reki disappeared, but of the group it hits Miya and Langa the hardest.

Miya is feeling really angry and guilty and scared because he was the last person to see Reki. Angry because Reki went missing and he wants to shank the person who dared hurt him, and if this is a prank or misunderstanding Reki is going to be the one he shanks. Guilty because he should have followed Reki when he ran off. And most of all Miya is scared because the last time he talked to Reki he had been having a breakdown in an elevator and decided that was the best time to yell at him about breaking his promise and now he might never see him again(I am not saying what Miya did was wrong, this is just the feelings and thought process of a 12yro who’s friend just went missing).

Langa is also having similar emotions. Only difference is he’s terrified that he’ll never have a chance to make things right with Reki and now that Reki is in every sense of the word gone….realizes that he loves him.

The fourth day is when Adam’s race with Shadow was supposed to happen before he got attacked with a baseball bat, so instead Adam is going to be racing Joe. The fourth day is also when things start picking up again for Reki.

You see, today instead of Adam being to one to bring food, it’s Tadashi. Tadashi does the “quit skateboarding it’ll only cause harm and despair and isn’t worth it” thing as in canon, Reki gets his little epiphany that your worth as a person is not decided by what you can do, and also that he waits to skate beside Langa again because it was fun. (Maybe there’s also a romantic awakening too)

Tadashi also gets his own little realization that hey, maybe kidnapping and imprisoning this kid was a bad thing and unties him, explaining how he’s turned a blind eye to Adam’s Everything for too long and now it’s time for him to make things right. He says how he’ll turn off the security cameras and that there’s a window near a rarely used side of the mansion that he can slip out.

Unfortunately, the window is locked. (Un)Fortunately, Reki is a dumbass with no self preservation and decides to just yeet himself out the window. Fortunately, the window was on the first floor and he had enough for thought to put his hands in front of his face to protect himself from the glass. But he still gets a few cuts, though they’re mostly small ones.

However, Reki is both smart and a dumbass. He knows that Adam has a lot of power and it’s pretty likely he’d slip out of punishment without any solid proof. However, instead of going to the police/hospital and getting Tadashi to testify since he mentioned security cameras, he decides the best way would be to challenge Adam to a beef where if he loses he needs to turn himself over to the police despite the fact that he is still very injured.

ofc, after being missing for four days and being on the news for being missing, people at S recognize him, but he doesn’t pay them any mind. He arrives at the start a few minutes before the race was supposed to start and publicly challenges Adam, who is admitibly surprised Reki’s even here. Only Joe is actually at the starting line, Cherry, Miya and Langa are at the big screen area and Shadow is in the hospital, but they all very clearly seeing Reki, looking a bit worse for wear.

And because I’m pretty sure the cameras have audio, and if they don’t well they do now, they also hear Reki’s challenge and the bet itself.

Reki: If you win, I’ll leave S. For good.

Adam, in that smugass voice: And, let's say somehow you win...what do you possibly want me to do

Reki: I want you to turn yourself over to the police

Adam, fumbling for a split second but then laughs: Oh? and whatever for?

Reki, glaring: You know exactly why

Understandably, this makes them quite worried.

Joe tries to ask, but Reki says this is something he needs to do by himself and he’ll explain after and Joe lends him his board since he didn’t have time to go home and get a new one.

They race, it rains, and I actually have a reason for Joe’s board to have the water wheels and you bet it’s gonna be a happy but hurt :)

You see, I’m going to slide in a bit much earlier where before they fought there was a rainy day and Reki gave Langa some of the water wheels and explained their function and that if he ever want to skate in the rain to come to him so he can put on the wheels. 

An hour or two before the race, Langa then gave these wheels to Joe saying they would help with the rain and that Reki had given them to him but he was sure he would’ve wanted Joe to use them to beat Adam. There’s also an unspoken “it’ll be like he’s there cheering you on and helping you win even if he’s not here”

So yeah, water wheels.

Now, a downside is that Adam is more brutal than canon when he skates Reki. He still plays with him but also tosses him around a but more and Reki just gets even more messed up.

But, because this is my au and I do what I want, and also plot, Reki is going to win.

The Sk8 Fam is so proud, they’re also still very worried since Reki was missing for four days.

But Adam is an ass and tries to get out of turning himself in since Reki never specifically said what he had to turn himself in for at which Reki sort of snaps.

“Are you kidding me? Are you actually serious?!? You kidnapped me Adam!!! You hit me with your car knocking me unconscious and when I wake up I’m bound and gagged in your house with no way to leave!!! You don’t get to act like you did nothing!!!!”

This, very understandably, freaks everyone the fuck out since Adam is a grown ass man and that coupled with Reki’s injuries does not paint a pretty picture.

Adam tries to say he has no proof, to which Tadashi as Snake steps out of the crowd since he actually has braincells and thought of using the camera footage and informs Adam that he’s already turned it over to the police.

Adam then decides to insult Reki, because of course he does. Though surprisingly it isn’t Cherry or Miya or even Joe who snaps back.

It’s Langa. And he punches him square in the jaw, sending him straight to the ground.

Reki wants to marry this man.

Joe grabs Adam and they finally, finally, go to the police station and hospital.

Reki worries a little bit about the hospital bill since he got beat up in an alley, hit by a car, beat up by Adam, jumped out a window, then beat up by Adam again, all with only a small patch job after the car. Those injuries are going to pile up. Luckily Tadashi says they’ll use his money since his card is still wired to Adam’s account which’ll be more than enough to cover it.

The whole Sk8 Fam comes in to check on him and it’s a super sweet reunion. Shadow brings him flowers, Joe brings food, Cherry has Carla play some movies for them all, Miya brings some games and curls up next to Reki, refusing to move, and Langa is on his other side holding his hand.

But then the wholesome is slightly ruined by Kiriko, the red haired detective woman who was trying to get Adam arrested, coming in since they need Reki’s statement about what happened. Of the squad Langa and Joe stay because Boyfriend(they made up at some point since they both realized they were being dumb and apologized) and Father(they did call Reki’s Biological Fam, but it’s going to take them a bit to get here).

Then Reki starts giving an abridged version of what happened, brushing over the bits about S and saying the footage was just of him skateboarding along with some of him just out. Joe and Langa look ready to commit murder the longer it goes on but keeps themselves composed.

There’s also a part where Reki is like “Oh, right that reminds me, how long was I gone for? A day? Day and a half?” And there’s just a moment of uncomfortable silence before Langa quietly says “Four. Four days” and Reki is just “…oh”

Reki is released from the hospital the next day in the afternoon and with the whole Sk8 Fam they head over to his house since they’re still all very worried and need some time to just be together and they all have a cuddle pile :D(Reki’s mom totally took pictures)

Some time later(since I’m pretty sure it can take a few months for a trial to happen) they’re all having a party to celebrate Adam’s incarnation and Tadashi is there too since he helped get Reki out and Sk8 missed out on getting Reki another Protective Father Figure. 

They’re all chilling at Reki and Langa’s practice area, looking at the stars together. Reki expresses how it finally feels like it’s all over, that now Adam is locked away for good(since there was also the perjury thing that Kiriko was doing) he feels like he’s finally free.

Finish sorting out last two chapters of DBW so everything is prepped for posting

We’re now in the middle of April and I did exactly one of those things. Well, maybe one and a half? DBW is as sorted as it’s going to be and I did work on Redamancy to the point that there’s like one chapter left to go. 

I did not touch any of the other stuff on the list, but I DID write all but the last chapter of Selcouth in the Sedoretu ‘verse that unexpectedly consumed my brain. 🤷‍♀️

At this point, given my work situation, I feel like making a Second Quarter Fic Plan is asking to fail. 😖

That said, I think the current line-up is:

Finish posting DBW and close out that chapter

Finish and post Selcouth (because it’s so close!!)

Finish and post Redamancy (again because it’s so close and I could really use the done/finished/accomplished feeling )

If by some miracle I get through those, I’ll reassess, but honestly with Sedo eating my brain it might push to the front of the line even over shorter, theoretically simpler things.
