ADIAML: Face Claims
After consuming way too much edits and letting myself be consumed by thoughts and escenarios in my head, I have reached a psychosis and now I can’t stop seeing Ryland Grace as Vic/Vision’s face claim for ADIAML. Remember, this is just how I picture the characters on my head and if you imagine them differently, you are free to do so!! This are just some silly insights from my mind
(I need this nerd so bad omg-)
Fun Facts about Fiance to a Star
Lore/relationship drama of Phantom family and those connected to it, this time. Long post, be warned.
It all started like a fairytale - Madeline Walker was the fairest in all lands, beauty and grace, genius magical prodigy, skilled with a sword, kind, loyal, and fierce. When she first came to AMITIE, young and full of stars in her eyes, Clockwork had warned her not to dig too deep.
She did not give his warning much thought.
Over the years, a lot of men tried to win her over, but she declined all of them. Vlad, who had fallen in love with her at first sight, decided to be smarter than most and claimed the place of her best friend, hoping that later she would notice him. Madeline did not. Instead, she had fallen - both literally and metaphorically - all over Jack Fenton, who, unlike all others, had never given much thought to her beauty or genius. Jack only saw a girl who was just as interested in studying otherlings as he was.
The three of them together - Maddie, Jack, and Vlad - had created lots and lots of trouble during their years in AMITIE. It was Jack who once overrun the fifth floor by a giant plant spirit - a weave of a charm gone wrong. Even now, years later, it is not recommended to bring any plants on the fifth floor hence they may come to life. It was Vlad who accidentally forced a blessing of Nocturn over a whole class of White Golds, and Clockwork had to spend a week trying to release them from their forever sleep. It was Maddie who engraved an explosion charm into her staff, which backfired splendidly a month later - the ceiling of the cafeteria still has a few scorch marks from that day.
And it was all them together who created the first unmarked door.
Tryna write a fic about Chris Rodriguez and I've been wondering, what was Hermes reason for not claiming him?
Like you could argue that he forgot he even had Chris but the guy knew he had two daughters in Louisiana or smt, so why wouldn't he know about the kid who literally lives on his doorstep for years.
So that got me thinking, Hermes knew of Luke's fate right? What if Chris was Lukes replacement.
What if Hermes was like " if I mistreat this kid enough he might be angry enough that he joins Kronos before Luke" taking lukes place as Kronos's meat suit and hero of prophecy.
He does probably care about Chris, but he's still gonna choose Luke, the favourite, over him.
And when the labyrinth happens, and with Chris no longer being with the TA, Hermes sees that his plan has failed and so claims him.
But imagine Chris growing up and Hermes not being able to look him in the eye because he is literally raising his son to die in place of another.
The guilt eating him up inside but knowing that he's still going to have Chris take Luke's place and knowing that if their roles where switched it would not be the same. Trying to stay distant but getting attached anyway because that's his kid!
The angst potential!
My Curtis Parents Lore based on TJ - The Darry Novel
Mother: Rebecca Marie Thompson (Curtis when married) (i always liked the name Rebecca okay)
Bday: April 22, 1919
Died: December 21, 1964 by train
Father: Darrel Thomas Curtis
Bday: June 13, 1917
Died: December 21, 1964 by train
Married: Fall, 1939
Children (as we all know and love):
Darrel Shaynne Curtis Jr. (Jan. 5, 1945) (narrorator and protagonist of TJ)
Sodapop Patrick Curtis (Oct. 8, 1948)
Ponyboy Michael Curtis (July 21, 1951)
I have more lore on Darrel Sr than i do on Rebecca tbh so for her will be whatever pops into my head atm
Darrel Sr’s best friend: Richard Turner (September, 1916) met as kids during WWI, became close friends during the war. Darrel Sr met Rebecca when he was in college after the war and she was working for her father’s bookstore. I’m pretty sure in the Darry novel in part 1 he mentions his mom works part time at a library so makes sense. The two (Rebecca and Darrel) hit it off instantly. It was slow burn at its finest. Darrel was afraid of falling in love for he never fell in love before until he met Rebecca. Before they got married, Darrel Sr was constantly fretting over the little things. And poor Richard was the third wheel basically. By 1954, Richard Turner even saw Presley live at the Louisiana Hayride while he was in town seeing family. He and Darrel sr didn’t start working for Williams & Co. roofing company in downtown Tulsa until 1953.
So yeah there’s some lore
Lore Timeline:
1917 - Darrel Sr born
1919 - Rebecca Thompson born
1935 - started dating
1939/40 - married
1945 - Darry Curtis Jr born
1948 - Sodapop born
1951 - pony born
1953 - Darrel Sr and Richard Turner works for Williams & Co Roofing company downtown Tulsa
1954 - Richard goes to visit family in Louisiana and manages to catch Presley live at the Louisiana Hayride
1963 - Darry Curtis Jr gets hired at Williams & Co while finishing school at just 18 years old
1964: Parents died just short of Christmas and Darry’s birthday

Hey, you know what would be (-fun-) fucked up? Actual selkie!Dragon/Imu. Can’t remember who wrote “to hide a selkie’s coat so I’m sending this to you and tri and sroloc but imagine Imu with Dragon’s coat!
… imagine baby seal pup Luffy. Imagine them fleeing the Holy Land and leaving Luffy/Dragon’s coat behind…
Op, that be mine fic!
Yes, there would be SO MANY horrible things that could happen with Dragon as an actual selkie! Or many other 'animal wife' shapeshifters for that matter. Like swan wives, crane wives, and the like.
In all senses, Luffy really does serve as a metaphorical sealskin because Dragon refuses to leave without him and cannot leave without him, if he wants to remain himself.
Look, I read a Murderbot selkie fic where SecUnit ate its own sealskin so it could get away and I see Dragon up to doing the same thing.
The type to gnaw off his own leg to get out of a trap, not that I blame him, considering the trap he's in...
Baby seal Luffy...adorable.
I have Damien headcanons regarding his family, this is my lore for him in my fic so take it or leave it, but i am totally projecting on this poor man
I have this idea that his mom was married when she migrated to America, which was during the influenza pandemic, and the two never had children due to fertility issues (its super common to just not have compatible sperm and eggs so like, i gen just think it was a chromosomal thing. A lot of the time these result in early stage miscarriages because the cells divide improperly). She was widowed, i think due to a workplace accident since her husband who I have invented named Giorgos Karras was a machinist/factory worker. Idk he got turned to paste by some machine in like 1931. She kept his name and eventually, against her better judgement, had an affair with a Greek man who worked at a local restaurant, and had Damien. She gave him her husband's surname and just told him his father was Giorgos and that he died before he was born. When Damien was little, his uncles John, Tetos, and Demetrio migrated to Brooklyn and Queens and occasionally helped raise him, but Mary was largely on her own, and did not tell the man she had an affair with that he had a son.
Damien learned that Giorgos wasn't actually his father in his mid 30s, when his mother started to require some care; he tried to be helpful and organize all of her important documents in a place he and his uncles could easily access in case of an emergency, and he found Giorgos's death certificate dated two years prior to his birth. He kept it to himself, and left the certificate in a separate drawer with miscellaneous old papers. It affected him very negatively and his mental state worsened significantly, considering the religious views he was raised with. He already feels like every choice he makes is the wrong one, now he feels like that feeling is validated by his own existence being an "immoral" choice
You know, I wish I could share all my world building and stuff for my fic because I'm having such a good time putting it together. I don't know how much of it will end up being shown in the fic - at least not explicitly or in depth - which makes me a little sad. But then, I don't want to spoil people as to some of the things I'm writing about since some are big upcoming plot points. And thus is the curse of being a writer.
Like, I have a whole section dedicated to 'Plot lines that happened prior to current narrative'. At this current moment, it has 1,800 words in it. And I'm adding to it right now as well. At least one of them I want to turn into a little prequel fic, since the story is super juicy and I need to write Terzo in a loving relationship. But that will have to wait. This is killing me, y'all.
