How would Rainmaker Mangolia react to what happened to the Donquixote family?
Honestly? It's a waste.
Torturing them won't do anything, just kill them for their crimes instead of dragging it out.
Like she might have let Rocinante and Doflamingo live for being kids, but maybe it would have been a mercy too, to kill them, seeing how no one else on that island let them be for being kids.
Another thing is that she would also feel unsatisfied by killing them as well because, well, killing these fallen Nobles doesn't serve her goals noticeably.
Doesn't draw the attention of the God Knights, doesn't make the Celestial Dragons more afraid because they've already written Homing and his family off for being 'corrupted' by the lower world.
Only use in killing them is revenge for the people they hurt before they came down from the Red Line.

On sympathy and empathy, do you think Dragon would put training in place for the revolutionaries to prevent his people from dehumanizing their enemies or going the Rainmaker route?
I don't think it's unlikely, but the real question is how much is that going to actually sink in for many members.

To be quite honest with you all I do think that aro/ace-spectrum fans in fandoms where people are desperately inventing crossover ships and humanizing non-human characters in order to have a conventionally attractive guy to ship the main character with, instead of possibly having to enjoy a story with no romance in it, have the right to refer to everyone else as cowards.
This post has officially reached the "Let people enjoy things" crowd so I'm just going to come right and say it: Do I or do I not also count as a people.
"This is...strange." Leonora brushes her finger against the wall of the...space she's in. Feels slick. Bubbly.
Around here is dark puddles. But they don't feel like D-Slime does, always creeping and pressing at her mind. Trying to eat her memories away.
Everywhere else...is too bright for something invaded by Dissolution. Even the World of Poetry wasn't this brightly colored. Brightly colored coral things bob about, with fish swimming through the air.
A Lemurian-inspired fever dream, she would call it. She wonders if Tulu would enjoy the place, with a small chuckle.
"No, probably not. Too much light for a good nap."
"What is something like you doing here?"
With a half-stifled shriek, Leonora whirls around, brandishing her Silver Key.
Something blinks at her, four eyes in a blank face half marked by a swirl of Darkness.
"Little gods don't fall this far into the Dark without reason. What is yours?"
The speaker creeps closer into the glow of the Key, exposing a long body that's finned like a fish, speckled in iridescence that changes colors every time Leonora blinks.
Its chest is cracked open, with a pulsing heart inside, and four arms have split off from it. Silver hair swirls in the invisible water that isn't.
Leonora finds her words. "First of all, I'm not a god, I'm a mortal."
Mostly. She chose that, she bled for that. Besides, being called a god makes her think of that Blind Dumb One and she isn't...that. At all.
"Second, who are you to be down here?"
"This one?" Ear fins flick back and forth, growing and shrinking with each movement. One hand pats at the sternum. "This one is the Radiant Nightmare and you, little god that isn't, have crossed into the Realm of Dreams."
The lower face splits open to reveal rows and rows of teeth.
Leonora doesn't even blink. "Dreams? There's a specific place for that now?"
The Radiant Nightmare shrugs, an odd motion with two sets of shoulders. "There always was. This is where Dreams..." A hand is waved. "Happen. You're outside yours, so you must be looking for something specific you can't find in one. What is it?"
Something that she can't find in her Dreams and she knows it...Leonora's throat closes up. There's one person that fits the bill, isn't there?
"Ramona. I'm looking for Ramona." She tries for a weak smile. "She has hair like yours, actually."
"Ramona..." The Radiant Nightmare tastes the name on its lips. "Hmmm. That may be something indeed."
"But." That long body shapes itself around Leonora, a snake with a mouse in its center, curved about her in a trap.
"Feed me a Dream of yours, little not-god, and we'll see we can find this Ramona of yours, hm?"
i think the only way Imu could've Stockholmed Dragon would be in a universe where he caught him right after God Valley,he was young so not as capable of resisting Imu's tactics and actively having several crisis.Plus he had no support system since he was on bad terms with his father, not to mention the topic of Luffy
i feel like a monster discussing what would be the optimal way of absolutely wrecking him but it's so fuuun
Bro, I am HERE for optimal ways of wrecking Dragon in this pairing.
You're completely right, Imu's best bet at getting Dragon attached to mu is around that God Valley timeframe for all of those reasons you pointed out about crisis's and lack of support system.
Imu probably won't go to 'collaring' Dragon right away like "to hide a selkie's coat" because Dragon isn't a high risk criminal figure when being brought in. There's still soft ways to convince him to join Imu's side, ways that maybe the Marines could change.
Of course, I think slavery would be a definite turn-off for Dragon, no matter the age, so Imu would have to be careful about that.
@sroloc--elbisivni @triscribe Ideas on how else this might work? Since you guys like this ship too. :)
Eris doesn't know what Magnolia is up to. Only that she threw herself at the Marines when they came for Eris' family, screaming at them to 'leave her sister alone!'
They dragged her along after that, in her clothes covered in blood. Whether it's own or someone else's, Eris hasn't gotten a chance to ask. She might never will.
Now here they are. Paraded in front of hundreds of World Nobles, all salivating to slaughter the Davy Family in its entirety.
Eris' arms tighten about Teach, who weeps into her legs.
Kill them for the name they bear. Kill them and everyone else in God Valley.
'I'm sorry," she mouths to her oldest friend. 'Sorry you got caught up in this.'
Magnolia only shakes her head, ever so slightly. Shaking off the apology. She leans a little closer, close enough to actually whisper,
"Whatever happens next, none of you move. Stay still."
There's steel in her eyes, a sharpness that she's never seen before in her friend's eyes as she says those words.
Eris frowns. Wait, her eye color, that's...different. Dark gray, that's not right. What is-
"Shut up," Magnolia cuts off the announcer, in the middle of him proclaiming point amounts for Eris' family's heads.
A shocked silence as everyone stares. Every Noble, every 'Rabbit,' they stare at this woman who dares to speak up. This woman who is here to die, her red hair waving like a flag for hunters to easily scan for and find.
Before they can muster back up their pride, punish Magnolia for speaking up and to laugh it off because Eris knows how these monsters think, Magnolia speaks again. Her voice carries to everyone in this makeshift theater, this theater to celebrate slaughter.
"I'm so glad that you could all make it here today."
A smile, a smile that's nothing but razor blades. Something is building, something is burning.
"Zaza thanks you for coming."
No, not burning, Eris realizes in the next moment. Wrong element. Something is flooding.
Magnolia raises her arms and her body is rising too, getting larger and larger as water falls from the sky into it.
Screaming, everyone is screaming. But Eris stays still. Holds onto her son tight as her relatives crowd into. Remembering.
Eris wipes the tears off his face. "Don't cry, little man. Everything will be alright soon."
This time, she actually believes it, watching her friend grow and change. Into a enormous woman created of water, red hair becoming tangles of red algae, two arms multiplying into many, white clouds sweeping about wide shoulders.
Under a wide hat, eyes are storms. Flashes of lighting in gray voids.
As one, the many hands smack into the earth, into rushing floods of water. Sweeping into the screaming crowds that are pushing at each other, desperately trying to escape.

Does Ginny get to see Imu true Face/Form if so how would she react?
Huh. That's something to think about.
I don't think it would mean anything to Ginny to see Imu's true form. Like unless there's Buccaneer-style symbolism being carried in those tattoos to ask Kuma about, not a lot for to gleam from that revelation.
Otherwise it might be "of course Mr. Shadow's pretty. Why wouldn't he be."
And while I'm thinking about it, it just bugs the shit out of me how 'natural' empathy is treated as something better than a learned sympathy.
Like hey, it somehow makes you better than me that you just feel bad when someone else feels bad while I have to learn about what's going on and put the pieces together to go "oh that's bad."
Like how it's a trope that understanding someone evil will make you more like them. Like you will automatically agree with someone when you understand how they think.

How is Dragon not getting Stockholme-Syndrome in the Au's? Ok Mu would want that im sure of it.
As in Imu so relentless, i mean Dragon tries either running away or tries to end himself, but no Stockholme-Syndrome?
First of all, Dragon is a D and Ds are as stubborn as fuck.
More seriously, a lot of the AUs I'm writing don't really have the in-person interactions between Dragon and Imu happen for extremely long periods of time. We're talking months, maybe three years at most. (Three years being Luffy's age when Fisher Tiger breaks out, that is.)
The Warlock Patron AU has the most extended timespan of Imu and Dragon chatting and Imu is frankly being more of an annoyance to Dragon's dreams in most of it than an actual presence.
The other thing is yeah, Imu is definitely aiming for Stockholme Syndroming Dragon but is being too heavy handed with it.
Imu uses the stick nearly all the time when trying to get Dragon to do what mu wants and any carrot offered is more about what Imu would want than Dragon's actual desires.
Imu would be more successful in getting Dragon, a naturally empathetic person, to have even mixed feelings about Imu if mu wasn't selfish to the extreme.
Cat Imu AU is hilariously the most successful of the Imus of getting Dragon to care about Imu and that's because Imu displayed vulnerability to Dragon in the form of a cat.
The possibility of Imu and Joyboy being friends means a possible of Imu having a pirate phrase in their youth. What would Luffy’s reaction to that knowledge be in a My love ish au?
I'm sorry, but Luffy caring about Imu's backstory when Luffy infamously doesn't even stick around to listen to his own crew's tragic backstories?
