luneth is the type to bark back at his dog. they just sit there on the floor barking at each other, hes so obnoxious its unreal. luneth is very good about walking a dog but would be bad at picking up after it (or cleaning litter, etc if he had a different kind of pet)
arc is trustworthy. hes a little too low energy though, he kinda just wants to cuddle w his pets.. so if he had a pet w more energy he'd be so drained aldhdkfhfkfhd. he already has luneth, he cant have a high energy pet too
refia's pet is her partner in crime. FINALLY someone who listens to her and is overall The Best. like yeah she could talk to arc or ignus or whatever, but they arent an animal so theyre already less cool. next
ignus is. hmmmmmm. i cant see him having a pet but iirc he was shown being very fond of his chocobo in the opening fmv...... he seems like the type of person whos very casual about having a pet, but hes actually a huge softie and cares about them deeply. ignus' pet goes apeshit every time they see luneth's dog. they just Know.

Onion Power!
The Onion Knight, originally from FFIII, is a recurring job class in the FF series. This class is famous for being weak in the beginning, but becomes considerably stronger at higher levels. FFXII explains the origin of the name in the Onion Queen bestiary:
“Why is it that we use the name of a certain vegetable to refer both to those who excel and also those without experience in the ways of the world? It is a well-known fact that all heroes in all tales disliked vegetables as children. Their legend begins with their overcoming of this weakness, and then continues with a journey filled with hardships. That noble vegetable, the onion, lives on as a symbol of hardships overcome, and as the mark of a true hero.”
