Something about slavery makes for great angst. Might write something involving gortash or Faustus at some point. Maybe.

so faustus is like an adhd chad and mephistopheles is like the part of the brain that goes "deadlines are real" and then faustus because he's an "a is for alpha" adhd gigachad is like "i think hell's a fable" because the deadline isn't real if you don't see it and then like an hour before he's about to have to turn in his final project of going to hell he starts to realize he can no longer procrastinate by playing flight rising or bullying the pope on twitter or jorking it in the club and he's like "fuck i'm so cooked!!!" and then mephistopheles sends him to hell. average adhd experience.

unfortunately i do want to see falstaff being annoying as fuck conjuring demons in the faustus universe though.

richard ii wouldn’t have taken the deal with mephistopheles because he was already babygirl…why would he need anything when he already has it. the divine right. babygirl.

Look I don't mean to m/f faustopheles (you know I am a yuri and yaoi warrior) but I was hit by a visceral image of Lucifer being like "he's just a man, honey, what did you expect?" @ Mephi re: Faustus flaking hard and loud about how he does not want to be damned because that's scary and all too real now. I guess a la Hades @ Meg in Hercules. So do with that what you will.

and if i was mephi. and my common law soul contract husband of 24 years was finally desperate to go to heaven. when he had never even experienced what heaven was like. just that he didn’t want to go to hell. and he had not even felt the torture i had felt. nor the joys i had once beheld. infinite beauty and infinite pain. yeah i’d get the ick too i think
