I dont know if this is just a me experience, but teachers often not believing someone has it[i cant spell it] or not helping them in any way
Dyscalculia sounds like the name of a vampire. Hey everyone there goes Count Dyscalculia. He has trouble estimating distances
I hate having dyscalculia I hate it I hate it I’m fine with all my other ailments but god I hate my fucking dyscalculia I want to do things I want to be an engineer I want to be an astronaut I want to be a scientist I want to be a mechanic I want I do so many things and I just. Can’t. Basically every single job that could actually pay me enough to live is not an option for me ever. I’m so angry
Not understanding math really fucks up your sense of everything.

Why are people so shocked when I tell them I can't count backwards beyond 10? Like I'm pretty open about being dyscalculic, why is this a surprise?
are u a math nerd? please help a homie out!!
i need a math tutor who doesnt over explain things & can take lessons as slow as i need with my learning disability.
hi im a person in georgia, usa who is trying to get my GED to further my education & career opportunities.
the problem? i have dyscalculia, a learning disability where i see numbers, panic, & shut down, make "simple mistakes" when solving basic math problems, need to count on my fingers, etc. i can do some multiplication, addition, subtraction, but division & beyond is like stepping on legos.
what i need: once weekly private video tutoring starting with basic elementary math all the way through high school algebra.
what i can offer in exchange: proofreading fanfiction or other writing, english lessons, artwork, handcrafted items.
