"Vulturehounds are a bizarre combination of vulture and wild dog." Sadly they never became as popular as the owlbear or other hybrid creatures. Their AD&D stats say they are rare, appear in numbers of 4-24, have AC 5 mostly due to speed and dexterity, move 18"/10", HD 2, and attack with 2 claws and beak for 1-3/1-3/1-6.
