The meat on these short ribs that have been braised in red wine is so tender that it falls off the bone. The dish is perfect for a special dinner or having people over because the rich sauce made with red wine, onions, and herbs gives it more depth.
Ingredients: 4 lbs beef short ribs. 2 cups red wine. 1 onion, chopped. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 2 carrots, chopped. 2 celery stalks, chopped. 2 cups beef broth. 2 tbsp olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh thyme sprigs.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 175F 350C. Add salt and pepper to the short ribs. In a big Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. After browning the short ribs on all sides, take them out of the pan and set them aside. Put the garlic, onions, carrots, and celery in the Dutch oven and saut them until they get soft. Add the red wine and scrape the bottom of the pot to get rid of any browned bits. Add the beef broth and thyme sprigs back to the pot with the short ribs. Put the ribs in the oven with the lid on and cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until they are soft. Serve the ribs hot, with the braising liquid spooned over them.
This Slow Cooker Whole Roaster Chicken recipe is incredibly easy and results in moist, flavorful chicken that practically falls off the bone. The slow cooking process allows the chicken to absorb all the delicious flavors of the spices and vegetables.
Instructions: Rinse the chicken and pat dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to create a spice rub. Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken, including inside the cavity. Place the quartered onion, chopped carrots, and celery in the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the seasoned chicken on top of the vegetables. Pour chicken broth or water around the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender. Once cooked, carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes before carving.

Racks has just launched their newest ribs innovation, the Smoked Chipotle Ribs. This is their tender and meaty classic pork ribs slapped with the rich and spicy flavor of Chipotle barbecue sauce. I recently had lunch at Racks to try this new limited-time variant for myself, and I was pleasantly surprised with its combination of flavors. It is served with steamed rice and a choice of your favorite side dish, making it a complete set meal for individual or group diners.
Racks is a casual dining restaurant serving delicious flame-grilled fall-off-the-bone ribs which are considered as the #BestRibsinTown for the last 11 years. The Smoked Chipotle Ribs is their latest creation which will only be available from September 15 to November 5, 2017. These can be ordered in Quarter (P435), Half (P875) or Full Rack (P1730) servings which can be good for 1 to 4 persons.
I was having lunch by myself so I ordered the Quarter Rack which comes with a serving of rice plus a regular-sized side dish. I couldn’t choose between the house mashed potato or the carrots and corn for my side so I just ordered an additional side for P70. Racks is known for their classic formula which they have been using since 1992, but the rich, dark-glazed Smoked Chipotle Ribs takes things to a new level.Â
Using the classic #FallsofftheBone pork ribs that is tender on the bone with hefts of meat in between, Racks slaps on the rich flavor of chipotle barbecue sauce, a flavor best known for its smoke and spicy kick. The unbelievably tender meat is Racks signature specialty and the new flavor variant is a welcome addition to the menu.
For bigger groups, the Half Rack comes with two pieces of Smoked Chipotle Ribs plus 2 orders of rice and 1 large side dish. On the other hand, the Full Rack which has four pieces of Smoked Chipotle Ribs, 4 rice and 1 large side dish.Â
But if you still prefer the classic version, then just order the famous flame-grilled Racks Baby Back Ribs which will always be the Best Ribs in Town. Make sure to add their Original Barbecue Sauce for the perfect baby back dining experience. It’s always fun to try new flavors and variants, so make sure to visit Racks and try the new Smoked Chipotle Ribs while it is still available.
