GIRL--- NO FUCKING WAY LMAOOOO 😭😭😭
if no one knows what’s going on with f1 academy right now hannes janker is a driving coach who is 28/29 and has groomed emma flebermayr, audi f1 academy driver. she is a 19 year old girl who has been “dating” him since she was 17. he’s been her coach since she was 16 or possibly younger. there are public pictures on their instagram of him AT HER HIGH SCHOOL PROM. this is actually the most fucking disgusting bullshit i’ve ever seen in my life.
i cannot believe people say they want to support young girls in sports and let this go on. i’m not here to shame emma but i AM here to shame everyone else involved. INCLUDING F1 ACADEMY.
i cannot believe they let him anywhere near her and that paddock, let alone post pictures of them like it’s some cute story. hannes janker i hope you die and i hope anyone who knew about this does as well. you cannot support girls and women in sports and let this shit go on. fuck you and your sport
again i’m not saying this to shame emma or share a story that belongs to the victim to share but i can’t sit back and watch this happen without the rest of the f1 community knowing about it especially as a woman in sports who knows abuse way too well.
this is not “minorly concerning” or just “kind of weird” this is grooming
Massive shoutout to Lia Block (former Williams f1a driver- but she has done more way impressive things than represent Williams) for becoming the first woman to lead the overall US rally championship (and thats with a dnf at snodrift rally where they were on for a podium!). I’m so glad that after deciding to do rally full time instead of single seaters that she’s thriving!
When she was talking about “I feel like I have to choose single seater or rally” during her f1a days, I ached for her a little because she’s so young to feel that way, but she decided she wanted to focus on rally and she’s crushing it. It makes me a little teary that she’s found exactly where she’s meant to be at such a young age. I wish her absolutely all of the best, and I hope she finds fulfillment and success wherever she races!

every time someone tells you that women drivers don't belong in formula 1 because "they'd have to modify the cars to make it fair for women," remember that f1 constantly adjusts the rules to make the sport fair for male drivers.
this is a sport where being shorter and lighter = aerodynamic advantage. but that would disadvantage tall, heavy men! so what does the FIA do? they create a minimum weight requirement for the car and the driver. teams literally have to add weight to the cockpit to make up for shorter/lighter drivers.
this is a sport where the "formula" changes every few years. it's not about building the fastest car humanly possible — it's about building the fastest car possible within the regulations. those regulations can artificially control for ANYTHING. the formula has always optimized the safety and drivability of f1 cars based on the historical default driver: a man. why not have them make small tweaks that would equalize the cars for women?
and for everyone who says that women don't belong in f1 because they aren't as strong as men*, remember that f1 cars didn't have power steering for the first 40 years of the sport's existence. they have literally changed the formula to make the cars easier to drive—for men—before. they can do it again to make it easier for the sport to include women.
*also, many elite women athletes are more than strong enough to compete in f1.
obviously regulation changes alone won't fix women's representation in the sport — there's a pipeline issue, lack of funding for female drivers, sexism, etc — but they are possible without delegitimizing the sport.
P1N ! 🍾 congratulations Doriane on the championship !!! ⭐️
I can't believe Doriane Pin blew up Brackley... how could she do this?
