(( Hehe, remember when I said I was going to write this scene but with more sexual implications? Surprise, I did it! I proofread the shit outta this fic, but I feel like it might still have some grammatical errors — either way, I'm releasing it into the wild! Oh, Disney, thank you for this soft-core BDSM scene. It was truly ahead of its time. ))
Felix had just finished the treacherous tale of Turbo, filling Tamora in on his evil deeds and the consequences of his actions.
"Yes, the selfish man is like a mangy dog chasing a cautionary tale." Tamora quipped, focusing on the path ahead as they stepped onto a fallen peppermint tree that acted as a bridge over a ravine.
"I know, right?" Felix exclaimed, but it was clear that he hardly understood her metaphor — Tamora had been too busy with her radar to say anything about it. Besides, there were more important things to deal with, she could play along and let the handyman believe that slipped past her. "That’s why I have to get Ralph home, or the same thing’s gonna happen to my game..."
DING! DING!
The tree the pair had been walking across blinked once, then twice, before disappearing completely. Felix and Tamora fell into the pit below and landed in a brown, sticky substance that was as thick as quicksand.
"What is this?" Tamora looked around, disgusted with whatever they'd landed in — she'd dealt with grosser things in Hero's Duty, but at least she knew what those substances were.
Her eyes landed on a sign that read: NESQUIK SAND.
"Nesquik Sand?" She read out loud, aggravation clear in her voice.
As they started sinking, panic took hold of Felix, and all rational judgment in him had been thrown to the wind.
"Quik sand?! I’ll hop out and grab you one of those vines!" Felix put as much force as he could into his hop, but the sand pulled him back down.
He knew in his heart that there was no use trying again, but he refused to give up — no matter how foolish it was to keep flailing and attempting to hop out.
Tamora stood calm, trying to size up the situation as best as she could, but her focus was broken as she realized Felix was just making them sink faster.
"I can't hop. I'm hoppless! This is hopeless! We're gonna drown here," The realization hit the handyman hard. This was the end. Game over. "Oh, we're gonna DIE!"
"GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!" Tamora snapped, and much to her dismay, she raised her hand and slapped him to snap him out of his panic.
"Aah—Ohh…!" Felix's cheeks flushed as the sting from the slap settled. His eyes widened, and his mouth gaped slightly as he realized that the sensation hadn't felt bad… in fact, it had felt really good, and he was feeling another sensation... down south.
Before he could linger on that feeling, they heard the sound of giggling coming from above them. Laffy Taffy vines stretched down, and continued to stretch further the more they laughed.
"Those vines… They’re Laffy Taffy! They’re attracted to whatever makes them laugh! Here," Felix gestured to his other cheek, ignoring the odd feeling in his gut. "Hit me again!"
Bewildered, Tamora stared at Felix — his eyes shut tight and his bottom lip between his teeth as he braced himself — then she looked at her hand. She slapped him lightly, and Felix opened one eye upon contact. The vines groaned and began to retreat.
"That's not funny enough," Felix whined, pausing to pull himself together. "Harder."
Tamora hesitated — she'd already deemed this one of the strangest and most frustrating days of her life, but this really sold it.
Was he serious?
She'd questioned whether he had a bracket in his code keyed into the wrong area the moment he complimented her after she nearly killed him, but now, she was convinced it had never been keyed in at all.
She had slapped him, sure… but that was for the sole purpose of snapping him out of his panic. It was necessary, they were sinking, and she hadn't enjoyed it one bit. Violence was a last resort for her…
"Look, you're a nice guy, I can't—"
"NO MA'AM!" Felix exclaimed, and his voice came out unusually forceful. He set aside his shock — he'd apologize after they got out of this mess. "The arcade is depending on us. Now do your duty, that’s an order!"
Tamora steeled herself up before she delivered a satisfying smack, the force caused Felix's head to snap to the left, and the taffy howled with laughter.
"Owwww! It’s working, hit me again!" Felix beamed… but then he turned to face Tamora.
She was horrified to see that the impact had given him a black eye, and she hissed through her teeth before pointing out the injury.
"Ooh, your eye…"
Something in her made her want to reach out and soothe whatever pain he must've been feeling, but as soon as she began reaching out, Felix pulled out his hammer.
"I can fix it!" He giggled, tapping his injured eye, and healing it completely. "Now go—" Tamora swiped at his face again, not as forcefully as she had the previous time, but with enough force behind it to attract the sadistic vines. "Wo—OW! Yooou mean business! Again!"
Felix was feeling that rush again, and he couldn't tell if it was from her powerful blows, or because his plan was working.
Punch. Repair. Punch. Repair.
Felix nearly hadn't realized that the vines were low enough for him to reach, but before Tamora could deliver another wallop, he grabbed a hold of one, as well as her waist.
'Gosh, I hope I didn't reach too low…'
The vine pulled them both out, and as they began to rise out of the Nesquik sand, Tamora wrapped her arms around him, noting that he was small enough to hold like a teddy bear, but strong enough to carry her, even in her heavy armor.
Their eyes locked, and suddenly, it was like she was seeing him in a whole other light.
'Maybe he's hiding some muscle under that work shirt…' Tamora's hand drifted closer to his chest, and she could feel his heart pounding rapidly.
Felix kept his eyes on her, and he couldn't help but notice how the golden lighting accentuated the freckles that dotted her cheeks and nose.
The Laffy Taffy set them down on a stable branch, and for a moment, the world around them disappeared. There were no cy-bugs to worry about, or colleagues to find, and no games at risk of being unplugged.
There was just Felix and Tamora… and the Laffy Taffy vines serenading them while forming a heart around them.
'These things aren't subtle…— and neither is he.'
Tamora glanced down momentarily and noted the blood had flowed somewhere other than the handyman's cheeks. A subtle smirk played at her lips — she'd just file that away for later.
Tamora pulled out her gun, and her expression hardened (much like the handyman's cock while she thrusted her fist against his face) as she fired three rounds in the air.
"Alright, enough with the goo-goo eyes," Tamora stated, holstering her gun while making a point of not looking at Felix. "We've got work to do, let's go."
As she passed by Felix on the way off the branch, she completely missed the love-struck smile that had spread across his face before he followed after her.
"Argh, we lost the cy-bug. Come on, we’ll get a better view from the air. Think you can fix that shuttle?" Tamora jabbed her thumb in the direction of the beat-up, wrecked shuttle.
She knew the answer to the question already, but she'd avoid addressing the elephant in the room — or Laffy Taffy hanging around, in this case —for as long as she could.
Felix, on the other hand, was still feeling the adrenaline from the situation they'd just been through and wasn't coming down from cloud nine anytime soon.
"Caaaan do!~" He reached down to his trusty golden hammer, threw it up in the air, and caught it while he swung his arm.
Tamora was just glad she was way ahead of him, otherwise, he would've seen her smile and heard her chuckle at his dorky-yet-charming response… Or he would've noticed her cheeks flush as his… 'other hammer' crossed her thoughts.
Remember this '03 post-Good Genes scene snippet in which Donnie pretends to transform into a monster and chases Mikey across a rooftop? Mikey yells, "He's trying to eat my leg again!" I wrote a one-shot about it.
