This do-it-yourself coffee bean soap is a great way to clean your skin and enjoy the scent of coffee. Since it doesn't use lye, it's safe and simple for first-timers to do. You'll feel your skin feeling clean and refreshed after using the coffee grounds to exfoliate it.
Ingredients: 1 cup coffee beans. 1 cup olive oil. 1/2 cup coconut oil. 1/2 cup shea butter. 1/4 cup cocoa butter. 1/4 cup castor oil. 2 tablespoons coffee grounds. 1/4 cup coffee-infused water. 1 tablespoon coffee essential oil. Soap mold.
Instructions: Start by grinding the coffee beans into a fine powder. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, and castor oil together. Stir well. Add the coffee grounds to the melted oils and mix thoroughly. In a separate container, mix the coffee-infused water and coffee essential oil. Slowly pour the coffee-infused oil mixture into the soap mold. Gently tap the mold to remove any air bubbles. Let the soap cool and harden for at least 24 hours. Once the soap has hardened, unmold it and cut it into bars. Allow the bars to cure for an additional 4-6 weeks, turning them occasionally to ensure even drying. Your homemade coffee bean no lye soap is ready to use!
