Cir is a child. a pre teen. a kid. they have never had anyone on their side. no one who loved them, who would kill for them or take care of them like a child is supposed to be

and they met Rickey and for some reason, they cling to this weird ass teenager

but he doesn't do any of that shit. Cir is the one taking care of him. They don't even like Rickey, they think he's weird and creepy, his music sucks and his zombies make them wanna throw up. But they put themself into this fucking parental guardian role for him and get nothing in return

it's so emotionally taxing and he doesn't even ,,,, try. he tries to bring Cir into his interests but he won't put any effort into theirs, or their emotional wellbeing or needs because that's the role they take. it's how it is. why would he deviate from the norm they've set?
