I'm a corpse after this lol
So, short explanation before pic spam.
I don't do a ton of crafting in minecraft like blocky games, just don't usually- I like doing it! Not a lot of experience doing it lol
Your base is your ship which you use to explore the world- so you're always tied to your base, so I figured I'd fiddle with it.
This is the ship I ended up with after a couple days of playing- it's 'functional' but was getting cramped. Chest storage space was becoming a big problem.
I dismantled it because I didn't want to upgrade a new 'core' for a second ship.
Momentarily my base became an ugly flying platform but that platform was the frame I intended to build a real ship out of:
Anyways, I'm Still Not Done, but the bulk is finally finished.
The 'house' has no roof currently because I need to go get some clay. There's a few 'placeholder' stick blocks for similar reasons. There's decorating to be done (A lot of it) especially in the crafting square/deck. But!
Ship "complete" (not finished):
Starting with the eyesore: The tower is a periscope made of glass windows, pipes, and some wood for framing- it's a facade to give some believability to the fact that the helm is in an enclosed 'house' and yet flying the ship has a clean 3rd person view lol
The house is where the cockpit is, as well as storage, and a 'jump off' point behind the cockpit to quickly exit the ship.
The deck is the crafting square where I vaguely separated and cleaned up the various benches, I need to redo the tiling of the floor here and add some various decorations (statues / execution corner with the guillotine? signs to give the facade of merchants).
The hull is where all the actual mechanics of the ship hide, out of sight and what not. I decided to slap the fans on the back though.
The hull also has 4 exit hatches to jump out of or climb back in (assuming a low enough landing or hovering near enough to glide inside).
The bottom of the ship is a flat floor- I'd like to hover it over an island and 'round it out' with some blocks to look more like a ship but the shape is "good enough!" for now so it flies lol
It Big. I'm no longer cramped lol.
I dig it. Plenty of 'cleaning up' to do, but I went from a dinky platform to an actual ship you could pretend had a design of some sort- something with more slightly more thought than "I ran outta space, throw some wood blocks on the ground so I have 4 more tiles of space" lol
