This explains so, so much.

To a small degree, I sympathize with the team in that they attempted the impossible task of adapting Maximum in 12 episodes, but honestly, what an absolute mess it turned out to be.

The fact that the screenplay took over a year should have been sign enough. I know I've said this already, but the studio really should have cut their loses, forget about Maximum, and try to create their own story. At least then there was the possibility that they could have created something at least a little interesting. Instead we got the harrowing experience of watching them gut Maximum by taking out everything that made it great, and give us a shallow play by play of basic plot elements. Not to mention the nonsensical changes they made, very few of which were actually good (and many arguably came at the expense of the depth of the characters).

Also. learning that they let Wolfwood live (not because it was a creative decision to better fit the softer 'everyone has a happy ending' themes of their show) but simply because they couldn't fit in Vash's grief arc made me laugh so damn hard. I knew it. Like seriously, what more hints did the team need that this wasn't going to work?

But that's the thing, right. They knew it wouldn't work. Because of course it wouldn't lmao. They stated it multiple times in the interview. And the original plan was to make original content!!!

They deliberately chose to make a lazy, flanderized adaptation is the truth of it. No pity anymore. The new team really didn't give a fuck.

I cannot believe there's absolutely no way to watch free shows and movies anymore, there are too many paid streaming platforms and pirating websites have viruses and ads preventing you from watching it uninterrupted((.)) id rather follow the rules and purchase media moving forward because it is too inconvenient. Seriously, free and no ads or viruses with 1080p streaming is DEAD.

i like using streaming apps but there are waaaay too many and they're all stealing my data .i wish there was a secure and organized way to have millions of shows and movies available one one app. but alas. we've truly gone full circle back to cable + now it spies on you. its a real shame. i dont want to fill my device storage with tons of boring and stupid cash grabs.

Half of those services don't even work well. Oh you paused a little too long so we're exiting to the place where we can show more ads. I've even had some that made me search for the show every time because it wouldn't save it. It's like, that's the only reason you're sometimes more convenient and you're still fucking it up! But yeah the catalogs are way too spread out.
