BUDDIENETWORK - EVENT 7: start your engines

9-1-1 is BACK this month! and whether or not canon will give us literally anything we want, fandom will.

inspired by our members' love of F1, this month is all about alternate universes (or AUs). whether that's canon-divergence, time loops/time travel, or, yes, even where buck and eddie are competing f1 drivers. take our blorbobarbies for one last jaunt around the sandbox before canon comes knocking on our door once again.

our new members are now settled in, and as our numbers have vastly grown during the past year, it is time to go back and redo our very first event, favourite characters! because after all, what else tells as much about a person as their precious favourites?

“Surrender,” he tells me, sword pointed toward my throat. “It was well tried. I will forgive you, Jude, and we will go back into the banquet. You will persuade Carden to do what I need him to. All will be as it should be.”

I spit blood on the stone tiles.

His sword arm trembles a little.

“You surrender,” I say.

He laughs, as though I have told a particularly rich joke. Then he stops, grimacing.

“i imagine you’re not feeling quite yourself,” I tell him.

His sword sags a little, and he looks at me in sudden comprehension.”What have you done?”

“I poisoned you. Don’t worry. It was a small enough dose. You’ll live.”

“The cups of wine,” he says. “But how did you know which one I would choose?”

“But then she snapped your neck.” Tears rolled down his face. “And I felt you die,” he whispered. Tears were sliding down my own cheeks.”

Happy New Year! With the New Year comes new beginnings, and the Unseelie and Seelie forces have come to a tentative truce, deciding to wipe the slate clean! That means there’s no punishment for this tournament. And in an effort to immortalize the peace (and in honour of TWK being released soon), all Courts are reminiscing about their pasts and their favourite moments: the next tournament is your favourite scene from TCP!
