The Woman King
In the first week of my internship, I was asked to go to the cinema with my colleagues. Last Sunday, I finally went to the cinema in Simpson Bay. And I enjoyed this movie: The Woman King.
I really recommended to go to see this movie. I say this because I think this is the best movie I have seen so far.
Birthday celebration
Yesterday I celebrated my birthday. After a day of internship, I first went home with my colleague, also roommate. We share a car together and that goes well. We have had the car since Tuesday and we also came up with a nickname for it. When I got home, my roommates sang happy birthday. After relaxing for an hour and taking a nice shower, we went to dinner at a restaurant. I got to choose where we were going to eat and had made a reservation at: Pineaple Pete & Wasabi Charlie. They have 2 menu cards and lots of different types of food. I am a big sushi lover, so of course I ordered that. Everyone had a great time. After dinner, we went to 'Nowhere special' where they have live music. It is local music with Caribbean tunes. More people I have met recently came over. It was a nice birthday and had a great time. I also captured some images to share with you.

Soggy Dollar Bar
Salsa in the Caribbean, a very popular thing to do here. Well, I did my best and make some movements. Last evening after eating all the interns from the house went to the Soggy bar. At this place they make live music and you can dance. It was very nice to see how people can dance here and that everyone dance together. Doesn't matter the age, people enjoy their life.

after many days of being home, we ventured out into the city today. I really wanted to see Cupid’s Koi Gardens at Federation Square and it was the cutest thing ever! I wanted to bring one or two home. 😂 the kids were a little unsure at first. having not gone out in a while, they didn’t really warm up (meaning they touch or poke anything) until we were about to leave and jump onto a tram. I’m glad we got out today. school starts on Tuesday and it feels like it was one big long stretch of isolation instead of a holiday for us.
