Galater 1:6-7

Today is Goodfriday. And as a christian I usually start preaching on this day. But tragically I am sick at the moment and therefore I will just give a few points. So remember:

- God is good. He gave his son for your sins.

- God is gracious. He went to the cross for your sins.

- God is patient. He allowed you to kill his son.

- God is true. He went to the cross to obey his father. 

- God is sovereign. The cross was his plan from the beginning.

- God is glorified. He fullfilled the plan for his own glory.

Just my few thoughts on this momentous day that happened about 2000 years ago and set me free.

Heute mal etwas länger als eine Minute.

Gnade ist das A und O im “Evangelium”,

das i-Tüpfelchen im Wort Gottes.

Ohne liest es sich nur schlecht,

und wird nicht recht verstanden.

Gnade ist die Musik des Evangeliums,

gleich einer Liebes-Ballade.

Klingt sie nicht,

wirkt sie nur schade.

Gnade ist wie Salz für das Festmahl.

Ohne Brise schmeckt es nur öde und fade.

Gnade ist das Herzstück im Evangelium.

Ohne kann es nicht schlagen, ist es gar tot.

Gnade ist kein Verdienst,

ist keine Frage, nichts was ich habe,

sie ist vielmehr Gottes Gabe.

Gnade ist die Seel’ für das Evangelium.

Ohne kann sie nicht beleben, nichts bewegen.

Gnade ist die Heilung für Kranke,

sie kann nicht schaden.

Gnade ist wie Farbe auf der Farbpalette eines Künstlers.

Wird sie nicht dick aufgetragen,

wirkt das Bild nur trist und mager.
