Adam WarRock - Nerds Ruin Everything
9 Best Free Songs by Adam WarRock,
Eugene Ahn didnât want to be a lawyer. He was but it wasnât his dream. Rather than hunker down and weather the rest of his life working a job he didnât love, Eugene Ahn shed his old career and donned the persona of Adam WarRock to pursue his real dream: becoming the illest rapper to ever spit lyrics about the X-Men. Over the last few year, WarRock has risen to become one of the preeminent voices in nerdcore with his extensive catalog of songs, mixtapes, and albums.
Consider this a primer on Adam WarRock as you take a look at nine of the best free songs this artist has to offer.
 9. So Many Ronin (Like 47)
One of Adam Warrockâs trademarks is his sense of optimism that permeates through his best tracks. However, thereâs also a very playful, sarcastic side that comes out to play every now and then. With this track, an enthusiastic ode to a film he hadnât even seen, WarRock is at his most puckish and irreverent. Well, if you can call dissing 47 Ronin irreverent.
 8. June
Yes, this is a song that uses Justin Beiberâs infamous song âBabyâ as its beat. Adam WarRock makes no secret of his enjoyment of mainstream pop music and often likes to feed it to his fans with some cool rhymes laid on top. This is one of his earlier and more successful attempts that is likely to put a smile on anyoneâs face.
 7. Jane
In the spiritual successor to âJune,â things take a turn towards the sublime. Using âMoves Like Jaggerâ as the base, Adam WarRock takes a song that he dubbed âinoffensively stupidâ and makes it something really fun based around the work of Jane Austen coupled with a general distaste for clubs. Itâs sort of an anti-club club song. Find it here.
  6. Gravity Falls
Adam WarRock loves him some Gravity Falls. Falling in love with the Disney Channel cartoon actually inspired him and his friend/frequent collaborator Chris Haley to start a podcast about it. Utilizing the showâs intensely catchy theme tune, WarRock raps about a kidâs show as passionately as he does about anything else showcasing his commitment to making all of his songs the best they can be.
  5. Smashed Gordon (Redux)
The title alone is enough to get this high up on the list. âSmashed Gordonâ was one of WarRockâs first big hits and he later revisited the song as part of one of his donation drives. Lovers of the cult classic from 1980 and PBR are sure to get a kick out of this. Find it here.
  4. Millie Got a Pull ListÂ
Geeky references aside, WarRock truly excels in his ability to capture nostalgia. Every comic reader remembers how it was when they first fell in love with the medium. This song is a familiar story about finding a sense of community in something as silly as making a pull list at the local shop. Find it here.
  3. Nerrd Lines
This right here is the final proof that Adam WarRock can save even the worst of songs. âBlurred Linesâ is a song that is as sleazy as it is lazy but WarRock, with some help from Chris Haley, turns it into a celebration of the Con circuit and a way of speaking out against the con-creeps that have been sparking so much controversy.
 2. Andrew Garfield at SDCC
Hot damn, this is one inspiring track. Using Andrew Garfieldâs heartfelt speech at San Diego Comic-Con 2011 as an intro, WarRock launches into a story about the impact of superheroes as role models in our youth. Find it here.
  1. The Quiet (Sex Criminals)
This represents a monumental step forward for Adam WarRock. The guy has good taste so heâs a fan of Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarskyâs book Sex Criminals. Rather than make a song celebrating the bookâs zany sense of humor, WarRock emphasizes the strong emotional undercurrents and self-disclosure that have made Sex Criminals resonate with its audience. This may be WarRockâs most emotionally mature song to date.

Welcome back to Webcomic of the Month and this month we have a long time favorite of mine, Let's Be Friends Again! Currently it isn't updating but I hope that hiatus ends sooner than later. Since it's not updating right now though it falls under great comics that aren't active. Hope that title goes awayâŠ
