  9. So Many Ronin (Like 47)

One of Adam Warrock’s trademarks is his sense of optimism that permeates through his best tracks. However, there’s also a very playful, sarcastic side that comes out to play every now and then. With this track, an enthusiastic ode to a film he hadn’t even seen, WarRock is at his most puckish and irreverent. Well, if you can call dissing 47 Ronin irreverent.

Yes, this is a song that uses Justin Beiber’s infamous song “Baby” as its beat. Adam WarRock makes no secret of his enjoyment of mainstream pop music and often likes to feed it to his fans with some cool rhymes laid on top. This is one of his earlier and more successful attempts that is likely to put a smile on anyone’s face.

  7. Jane

In the spiritual successor to “June,” things take a turn towards the sublime. Using “Moves Like Jagger” as the base, Adam WarRock takes a song that he dubbed “inoffensively stupid” and makes it something really fun based around the work of Jane Austen coupled with a general distaste for clubs.     6. Gravity Falls

Adam WarRock loves him some Gravity Falls. Falling in love with the Disney Channel cartoon actually inspired him and his friend/frequent collaborator Chris Haley to start a podcast about it. Utilizing the show’s intensely catchy theme tune, WarRock raps about a kid’s show as passionately as he does about anything else showcasing his commitment to making all of his songs the best they can be.

    5. Smashed Gordon (Redux)

The title alone is enough to get this high up on the list. “Smashed Gordon” was one of WarRock’s first big hits and he later revisited the song as part of one of his donation drives. Lovers of the cult classic from 1980 and PBR are sure to get a kick out of this. Find it here.

This right here is the final proof that Adam WarRock can save even the worst of songs. “Blurred Lines” is a song that is as sleazy as it is lazy but WarRock, with some help from Chris Haley, turns it into a celebration of the Con circuit and a way of speaking out against the con-creeps that have been sparking so much controversy.

    1. The Quiet (Sex Criminals)

This represents a monumental step forward for Adam WarRock. The guy has good taste so he’s a fan of Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky’s book Sex Criminals. Rather than make a song celebrating the book’s zany sense of humor, WarRock emphasizes the strong emotional undercurrents and self-disclosure that have made Sex Criminals resonate with its audience. This may be WarRock’s most emotionally mature song to date.

Welcome back to Webcomic of the Month and this month we have a long time favorite of mine, Let's Be Friends Again! Currently it isn't updating but I hope that hiatus ends sooner than later. Since it's not updating right now though it falls under great comics that aren't active. Hope that title goes away…
