aizawa’s lips twist into repulsion. displeasure reads so clearly on his face. “why would you bore me? what made you ask that?”
“it’s just—“ you sound like a teenager whining to their not quite boyfriend. “we go on dates, but we barely say a word. we hold hands, you stand so close, you keep looking at my face for some reason, but we can barely hold a conversation.”
“so you think i think you’re boring because we don’t say much?”
your nod is meek.
“i’m quiet. you’re also quiet. as quiet people, we both know very well we don’t need to fill every second with noise.” aizawa’s hand inches towards yours on the cafe table. “but i also see what you mean. i don’t mean to make you feel insecure with my silence. no, you don’t bore me.”
your hand reaches his, finger tips brushing one another. his hands look better today. no cuts or broken cuticles; nails trimmed and nicely rounded. did he take your advice to file them rather than cut?
“thank you. thank you. that makes me feel better.” your head is bowed, lips slightly jutting out. “but i’d like to talk more. we spend so much time together, but i still feel like i don’t know you.”
in a smaller voice, barely there, the cursed words leave you: “i want to know you.”
aizawa laces his fingers with yours, giving a tight squeeze.

- Another year, another Challenge -
“Aizawa-san,” you pack as much scorn into his name as possible. He’s wearing an impressive resting bitch face today.
“Tomo-san,” he replies, sounding like he’d just found a disgusting bug on his shoe.
“Ah, you know each other,” Kayama-san sings just two steps ahead. “I almost forgot.”
“Knowing would be an exaggeration,” you sniff before turning back to your waiting students.
“Coffee?” You ask and Sugimoto steps up to hand you your travel cup with a sheepish smile.
You take sip, forcing your face into a smile of enjoyment. Like hell you’re going to let on that the stuff is ice cold already.
“You went out of your way to get coffee before this?” Aizawa asks, arms folded over his chest. “Knowing you’d be here late?”
“No, I came late because I could care less. The coffee was just a nice add on.” You examine his students behind him. “Besides, we should be over this in a minute.”
Aizawa sniffs. “Spoken like someone who’s lost before.”
And he’s right. You have lost before in this ridiculous fight. But you’ve trained your students harder than ever, so you’re fairly certain you’ll beat him today.
-
You know you’re losing five minutes in so you wander over with the best bored expression you can muster - you’ve trained it in front of a mirror too.
“So, who’s the blond guy?”
“You’re not getting him.”
Damn. “Never said I wanted him.”
Aizawa scoffs. “I can read you better than that.”
“Sure,” it’s your turn to scoff. “If you’re such a good mind-reader tell me who else I want.”
“Amajiki. Purple hair, elven ears.”
You roll your eyes. He got you with that.
“I’m just saying he could grow under our care-”
“He’d die under your care.”
“Please, that was one time!”
A few curious faces turn away at that sentence, clearly scandalized. They don’t need to know that it was only a house plant that you killed and that you told that to Kayama in secret.
“I’m gonna take Sugimoto,” Aizawa declares at that, not even bothering to look at you. “Just so you know.”
You sigh. You liked Sugimoto.
“Fine. But next year-”
“No,” Aizawa cuts you off. “Not gonna happen. Togata and Amajiki are staying.”
You pout and his eyes stay a moment longer on your lips.
Well, a win is a win is a win.
“I’ll just pick someone else when I win. And I’m gonna win.”
He smiles, the sight ridiculous and infuriating.
“We’ll see about that.”

- Another year, another Challenge -
“Aizawa-san,” you pack as much scorn into his name as possible. He’s late. It’s always your turn to be late.
“Tomo-san,” he replies, sounding like a garbage disposal that’s choking on bones.
“Ah, so that’s you,” Yamada-san grins down at you, “I was wondering how you’d look like.”
“What’s the verdict?” You ask, not really caring.
“You’re one hot-”
“Present Mic will lead you and your class to the training grounds,” Aizawa interrupts his colleague before hesitating.
“No coffee?”
“Already ahead of you.”
“Good, wouldn’t want you to fall asleep.”
“Oh, because your class is so boring?”
He opens the mouth for a retort when his friend steps in.
“This way,” he grins, knowing full well what he’s doing. “We wouldn’t want to let anyone wait, right?”
-
This years class is smaller in numbers than the others.
“How many did you expel?” You ask, sauntering over. You already know you’re winning.
“Not enough.” He grunts, watching the fight below. “Who are you-”
“You can keep them,” you sniff, unenthused. “Anyone else of interest.”
He’s quiet for a second. It’s been a few years since you’ve had the upper hand and it feels almost unnatural.
“There’s someone from General Education that could fit what you’re looking for.”
You share a look of understanding and you nod.
“I’ll take a look later.” And, daring to be a little bolder, you pat his shoulder lightly. “Don’t take that loss too seriously. I’m sure there will be better years.”
He snorts. “Spoken like a sore loser.”

- Out on Patrol -
It’s rare to come across him, even rarer that he needs help.
“Care for a helping hand?” You ask, swinging from rain gutter by a lock of hair.
Aizawa, face pressed into the ground, doesn’t answer.
Not like he needs to.
You get the villain of him in a heartbeat, your hair flowing around him like a living being, caging him in.
“You good?” You ask, one hand on his shoulder.
“‘m fine,” he coughs, wiping blood from his cheek. “Careful, his skin is poisonous.”
Together, you deal with him just fine.
It’s not the first time you had to unite forces, not the first time you notice how well you work together.
It reminds you of your early days, of workstudies and extra hours of work, of running into him on Patrol, unable to get rid of him.
“You good?” You ask once more when the Police takes your opponent away and Aizawa sinks to the floor, crumbling in front of your eyes.
“‘m fine.”
“You look it, certainly,” you joke, reaching out a hand to test the waters. He’s not moving away, which doesn’t bode well. When you touch him, you get a clearer picture, your Quirk supplying you with the visuals you need.
“Cracked Rib,” you tell him, voice flat. “That shoulder might be sprained too.”
“‘m fine.”
“Yeah, and I’m Allmight’s secret lovechild,” your hair twists around him until he’s as secure as he can be. “Let’s go. You need a doctor.”
“‘m-”
“If you say I’m fine one more time I’m gonna make you eat your words and I mean this literally.”
He shuts up, giving in to his fate.
- - -
The bar is barely more than a hole in the wall, but that’s what you get for after hours as a Pro Hero.
Kayama’s not in her Hero Suit, though her off-work wardrobe is just as risqué.
“One of you has to give in,” she sings, clearly a bit buzzed already as she twirls around the olive in her dirty martini.
You snort. “Not going to happen.”
“What’s it like, now? Five years?”
“Double that,” you take a sip of your drink, cringing at the taste.
Sex on the Beach is not for you, but Kayama had ordered it.
“And neither of you dated anyone else in that timeframe. I call that romantic.”
“I call that being busy with work,” you shoot back, narrowing your eyes at her. “And you’ve been single that whole time as well, so don’t come at me like that.”
“True,” she sighs. “But I didn’t have a good rivals to lovers story to tell, like you do.”
You snort. “I can’t even call this Rivals to Friends, so I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Oh, you know full well what I’m talking about.”
“Whatever,” you slide from your seat. “I’m going to take a water break. Have my drink, will you? I can’t stand the taste.”
“Very well,” she slides the glass over, emptying it in one take.
-
“I think you’ve had enough, Midnight.”
You halt, coming back from toilet, your friend just around the corner. You know this voice well.
“And what are you going to do about it, Aizawa?”
She’s all but purring up at him. You’d give a lot to see his face right now, but you’re not in the mood to fight him, hiding in the shadows instead.
“First I’ll call a cab-”
“Oh, so forward?”
“And make sure you get home safe. Hizashi, stay here.”
“Aw, but there’s this cute blonde-”
“No,” Aizawa’s voice is calm and collected, though it lets no argument pass. “Did you come alone, Midnight?”
“Why, are you jealous?”
He sighs and you swallow the unease, stepping forward.
“Going home already, Kayama?” You ask her, one hand on her naked shoulder. Yeah, she’s pretty drunk, but not as bad she’s playing to be.
“Not if I get to decide,” she grins up at you.
When you turn your face toward Aizawa, you expect the usual snarl. He’s not wearing bandages anymore, or if he does, they’re well hidden under his clothes.
With Recovery Girl at his disposal you’re sure he’s doing just fine.
The scowl is there, though there’s another feeling mixed in, one you haven’t seen on him yet. Could it be… worry?
“What happened to you?”
His hand reaches for your face and you move back before he can touch you.
He stops, hand still outstretched.
“Comes with the job,” you joke. It’s a compliment to his perceptivness that he noticed your black eye, you’ve hid it well under make-up, freshly touched up five minutes ago.
“I don’t remember any recent fights.”
Kayama oohs low between the two of you. You know full well what she means.
He’s keeping track of you just as much as you’re keeping track of him.
“Well, underground heroes are not usually in the media.”
“I’d be a fool if I relied solely on the media to get my intel.”
“And here I thought that’s what you are,” you tease him, unable to let it go. “A fool.”
His mouth twitches into a smile, barely there and gone already.
“No, I’ll leave that to you.”
“Guys, just have a drink together,” Kayama nudges you with her elbow and you watch her do the same with him.
“Where’s Hizashi, he can drink with us too.”
“I heard my name?” Yamada appears behind Aizawa, his usually upstyled hair pulled back into a messy bun. “She wasn’t interested,” he adds on like an afterthought. “Who wants shots?”
-
The sidewalk is cold under your ass as you wait for the Cab to arrive.
The lights are blurry, the colorful neon signs looking like abstract art.
Kayama’s gone with some guy you barely remember seeing and Yamada’s still inside, talking the waitress’ ear off but Aizawa’s leaning heavily into your shoulder like you’re the only thing keeping him upright.
“Do you remember when we met for the first time?” You ask, feeling a little nostalgic.
“Do you mean when you captured my target right in front of me in my first workstudy or-”
“Nah,” you swallow against an unfamiliar feeling. “That one time during High School when our schools got to go against each other.”
“We didn’t even fight each other.”
“Yeah, but I remember you watching me.” You giggle, the sound so funny you can’t help laughing some more. “And later you started working with those ridiculous scarfes.”
“They’re not ridiculous if they work.”
“They’re a little ridiculous.”
“You’re a little ridiculous.”
“That I am.” You wish for another sip of Whisky to wash down that feeling you can’t really name.
A car halts in front of you.
“You guys asked for a Cab?”
“Yeah,” Aizawa pushes himself up. “It’s for her.”
“Wait, you need to get home too-”
“‘m fine,” he interrupts you, opening the door with a little too much momentum, almost falling over.
“Here, let me help you-”
“I got it,” he cuts off the driver, pulling you up from the pavement. “In you go. Don’t forget the seatbelt.”
Even in your hazy state you can tell how ridiculous it is that he’s fastening the seatbelt for you.
But you forget all about teasing him about it when he straigthens and leans in to kiss you.
He tastes like Espresso Martini and cheap Gin Tonic, like too late nights and too little sleep.
Your hand reaches for his neck, to hold him close or push him away, you don’t know.
But he’s gone before you touch him and the door closes with a slam.
You’re still staring at the space he’d been in when the car starts. When you turn your face all you see is his back as he wobbles back into the bar.
-
Underground heroes are excellent in avoidance. You should know, you’re one yourself.
So it’s not really a surprise when Aizawa all but dips from the surface of the earth after that night, seemingly disappearing.
Though the memory of his lips on yours stays behind, as if the taste, the feeling, lingers.
- - -
“Aizawa-san,” your voice is flat. It’s been months since you’ve seen him last, spotted his messy head of hair during a patrol. Kayama’s asked you to be patient and you can’t help but wonder how your roles have reversed so quickly.
“Tomo-san,” he replies, sounding just as flat, his back stiff.
It’s no coincidence that you’re meeting him here.
Students all over Japan have travelled to make it in time, to get their chance at the Entrance Exam of U.A. High Scool.
You’ve snook inside once before with the helping hand of Kayama, but that was years ago and because of a dare.
Today is different.
You turn, expecting him to run away. Aizawa’s been avoiding you so far, he might as well continue.
But you suppose he knows when he’s beat, because he stays, waiting patiently as you survey the incoming students.
A green haired kid trips over his shoelaces just a few steps away and is helped by another student. You’d guess her Quirk has something to do with Gravity.
She’ll have no problem at the practical test with that.
“Can I help you or are you just here to stand in the way?”
You turn back around.
“Yeah,” you keep your voice even. “I wanted to let you know our school has decided against continuing our yearly challenge.”
Aizawa stiffens.
“So,” you shrug as if you don’t care at all. “Just wanted to come by and check out the competition one last time. Do you know where Kayama is?”
“Wait.”
“Yes?” Your heart is heavy in your chest. You want him to say something, even a smile would be more than what he’s been giving you these last weeks.
But he shakes his head, staying silent, and you nod, moving away.
“It was nice knowing you, Shouta.”
-
“Practical test is about to begin,” someone shushes the teachers sitting around.
You can feel Aizawa’s eyes on you, even from this distance.
The space between you feels suddenly stifling and you get up from your chair.
“I’m gonna go,” you mutter into Kayama’s ear. “Tell me everything when it’s done, okay.”
“Okay,” she squeezes your hand with a sympathetic smile.
The door of the teachers lounge closes quietly behind you, your footsteps echo through the hallway.
Technically there should have been someone with you, to escort you out, but they’re all too eager to know what’s going to happen.
As you get closer and closer to the front gate you realize that you’d still been hoping.
But Shouta doesn’t show up to stop you and you leave the school without another look back.
-
Three knocks on the window.
You can barely make him out in the darkness, but the fabric of his scarf reflects just enough of the moonlight to tell you who’s on the other side.
You slide open the window, not offering a Hello.
“There’s a boy,” he starts. “Brainwashing Quirk. He didn’t make it into the Hero’s Class.”
“So?”
“I think you should take him in.”
“Why would I do that?”
“Because I’m asking nicely?”
“Again, why would I do that?”
He’s quiet for a while.
“I’m not good at this, okay?”
“Being social?”
His laugh surprises you. It’s dry and awkward and yet a little bit more vulnerable than you’ve ever heard before.
“I’m sorry I kissed you.”
“I’m not.”
His head snaps up. His eyes are glowing red, as if his Quirk activated on accident.
“It’s still me,” you tell him and he softens, almost draws into himself.
“Can I come inside?”
You hesitate for a second. “Will you start ignoring me again if I let you?”
It’s on him to hesitate now. “Might stop ignoring you forever if you let me in.”
“Now, how could I say now to that?”
-
In all those years of knowing Aizawa Shouta, you’ve been close, touched, kissed even - though only recently - yet this feels different.
He’s sitting on the chair you use to hold your laundry, a shirt you had thought about wearing tomorrow crumpling underneath his butt. It’s a cute butt, but that shirt definitely deserves a better treatment.
“I don’t want our challenge to stop.”
“I don’t think that’s on you to decide.”
You watch as his fingers fiddle with a seam on his trousers.
“You know I started those challenges, right?” You ask.
He nods. “Same here. I asked for them. Nezu wasn’t too happy about it at first, but I can be very convincing.”
“What was your reason?” You correct yourself quickly. “Reasoning, I mean.”
He coughs out a laugh. “You’re really annoying. I’ve needed ages to master these bandages and your hair just does it for you.”
For the first time since you’ve met him he’s not taken the easy route, the route that would lead this conversation to safer topics.
“I hate your brain,” you respond in kind. “I feel like playing chess with you and you already figured out how you’re going to win this when I’ve just figured out my first three steps.”
He smiles, a hesitant thing, like a wild cat daring to sniff that hand that’s been offered. Will he bite or will he trust?
“I’m not really the kind of guy you take out on a date,” he offers quietly in return for your patience. “But I feel like we’ve spent enough time treading water.”
“So you wanna move forward?”
He nods, jerky and awkward. “I wanna try. Moving the other way is… not an option. At least not until I’ve tried.”
You consider this for a second before you nod.
“How about I order in some food? And we talk about that guy you mentioned? Brainwash, you said?”
Aizawa watches you as if waiting for a trap to fall shut before he nods. “If that’s okay with you?”
Your table is small, barely big enough to fit both of your meals onto it. The candle that sits in the middle is close to it’s death but you light it anyway, snickering to yourself.
“Candlelight dinner,” you offer when Aizawa looks up at you in question.
He smiles, his hand reaching out for yours. You let him take it.

- Another year, another Challenge -
“Aizawa-san,” you pack as much scorn into his name as possible. He’s late. It’s always your turn to be late.
“Tomo-san,” he replies, sounding like a garbage disposal that’s choking on bones.
Behind him, his students look from you to their teacher and back to you. It’s clear they’ve already learned to fear him even in those few weeks.
“You’ve forgot your lunch,” you hand him the Bento he left on the counter this morning. “It was hard work.”
“I’m sure it was for the poor cook you paid.”
“Please,” you scoff. “I know how to cook.”
“Really? Have you tried doing it too?”
Your lips pull up into a smile. “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
“What are we doing now?” One of his students asks, brash voice, blond hair. He sounds as impatient as he looks.
“I was talking to my girlfriend,” Shouta points out without turning. “And you were trying to show patience.”
“Fu-”
Shouta turns so fast you wonder how he’s not getting whiplash. Blondy falls silent midcurse.
“Sorry, sorry, I’m a little late,” another voice pipes in, female and friendly.
You turn to see another Class approaching. You know that outfit.
“Ms. Joke.”
“Oh,” she halts at your sight. “Who are you? A Teacher’s assistant?”
“No,” you tell her pointedly, one hand on Shouta’s arm. You know her and you know what she’s thinking. “His girlfriend.”
Shouta snickers under his breath until you turn to him.
“Next year,” you threaten him under your breath, “you’re going to fight against my class again. Pulling Ms. Joke into this? That’s dirty.”
“Like you’d have it any other way.”
He’s right and he knows it.
But you will never let him have that.
After all, wouldn’t it be boring without a challenge?
aizawa likes physical contact when you two sleep. like he really likes physical contact. he’s essentially a human cat. needs constant pats and back rubs. he melts at the touch of your hands ruffling his dark and messy hair. it puts him right to sleep, it’s sleep hypnosis.
and vice versa, sleeping and being with him has turned you into a human cat as well. he loves taking care of his kitty cat. handsy man he is, always needing his hands to be on you. hands cupping your face, holding your hands, petting your head. doesn’t matter where. hands on you. no ifs no buts. and he will not sleep unless you are touching. he will start waking up if he doesn’t feel you warm touch on his skin.
this is what i think aizawa is like when sleeping with you.
Imagine playing with Eri in the common area of the teachers dorm. The both of you are having a great time, laughing while playing with a few stuffed animals.
Coming back to what Shouta would call his home, he stands in the doorway, watching you and the little girl interact, a warm feeling spreading inside of his chest. He knew you were the one when he first laid eyes on you, but seeing you taking care of Eri, being a mom to her, seriously makes him wonder if he should propose right then and there.
happy aizawa day & happy birthday to aizawa!! this is my third day off fluffember & first time writing mutual pining, i hope i did okay :)

“Hey Aizawa. I have to tell you something.” You mumbled nervously, only for the quiet male to look up. “What is it? Did something happen?” Aizawa asked almost immediately, a hint of worry in his voice.
“Oh no, don’t worry. It’s just that-” You paused, taking a deep breath and getting ready to say the next few words, being worried it might ruin your friendship.
“Hey guys, good morning.” Nemuri smiled, interrupting you without even realizing. “Oh, hey Nemuri.” Aizawa answered, a smile growing on his face as you felt a sting in your heart.
“Anyways, what were you saying again?” Aizawa asked and you just shook your head, giving him a warm smile. “It was nothing. I gotta go.” You answered, walking off quickly while Aizawa sat there in confusion.
You were about to confess, thinking it would be a great time but, of course, it was stupid. Aizawa didn’t feel that way, not when he looked at Nemuri like that. You couldn’t blame him though- she was gorgeous.
Weeks had passed since then and you tried to move on, to convince yourself that Aizawa would never feel the same way yet you couldn’t help your feelings. You couldn’t help yourself from liking him.
“Why do you look so sad today? Who broke your poor little heart today? Was it Shouta again?” Hizashi teased, being a little too loud and earning a slap on the back of his head from you. “Shhh! You’re being too loud and, no, he didn’t. We never had anything, anyways.” You mumbled, crossing your arms and looking away from him.
“Who said it can’t become anything?” He asked, making you turn back to him. “Why would it be? He clearly isn’t interested in me. He’s on his phone half of the time, avoiding everyone.” You answered, only for Hizashi to burst out in laughter.
“You just described his whole personality! Why are you surprised he’s avoiding everyone? That’s just how he is - you must be blind, by the way.” Hizashi laughed, knowing better than you both.
“What is that supposed to mean?” You frowned. “That you two are idiots. He’s just anti-social and in a relationship with his sleeping bag.” Hizashi laughed, making you burst out in laughter as well and playfully slapped him again. “That’s mean, Hizashi.” You giggled, not noticing Aizawa there.
All Aizawa did was look at you two and sigh. He was a fool for thinking you would feel the same, wasn’t he? He always avoided you just because he didn’t know how to act around someone he liked. He knew it was stupid but he was scared, scared to ruin everything and thinking that this “phase” would leave together with his feelings for you.
The truth was that neither of you were able to hide the feelings. In fact, you both sucked ass at it; you were just too blind and convinced you guys didn’t like one another. It had been going on for so long- way too long for everyone else around you two. They were slowly but surely growing tired of your blindness.
Then again, they knew you two. They knew that both of you were too scared to make the first move so all they could do was painfully watch you two secretly pining for each other for years, not wanting to talk in your places. It honestly was tiring to them.
That’s exactly why Nemuri and Hizashi had set up a plan during lunch break: one for you two to confess without even realizing.
“Why are you so frustrated, Shouta?” Hizashi asked, walking towards the cafeteria. “It’s nothing. I should just give up because they clearly aren’t interested in me.” Shouta answered, sighing as he shook his head.
“What’s stopping you from telling him?” Nemuri questioned you and you just shrugged. “It’s like he’s avoiding me. Why would I even bother?” You answered almost like it was the most natural thing ever.
“Why would you even give up? Your feelings are clear.” Hizashi and Nemuri asked at the same time as Hizashi & Shouta got closer to the table. “What feelings? My one sided crush?”
“They might be clear but Shouta clearly doesn’t like me the way I like him.” You two spoke at the same time, freezing in your movements once you heard each other, only for Hizashi and Nemuri to high five each other.
“You two-” You and Aizawa spoke at the same time again, being too scared to face each other, knowing this was planned by your friends and being nervous since the feelings were mutual.
Your friends might’ve been nosy but you couldn’t thank them enough. At the end of the day, if they hadn’t done this, neither of you would’ve confessed.

Recently I've neen feeling insecure of my body (I'm hella skinny/boney and underweight) 👉🏻👈🏻 is it ok if I ask for sum Aizawa fluff with him comforting an insecure reader?
If you feel uncomfy writing for it, you don't have to! (Also idrc what format it's in, whatever you feel is fine for me :>)
Perfection
Aizawa x gn!reader
Tw: body imagery sadness? (There's a damn word for that, I know there is, help omg.)
Notes: You're beautiful no matter your body type. Strut your shit you beautiful people.
"Nothing looks right…", you sigh as you throw another shirt in the 'why do I even own this' pile. You had to leave with your boyfriend Aizawa in 15 minutes for dinner at a new restaurant that has recently opened just a few streets away. You have 15 minutes to get ready now due to spending the last 3 hours tearing apart your own wardrobe, not to mention tearing apart yourself. In the end you end up choosing a beautiful knee length skirt and an oversized button up blouse, grimacing when you look in the mirror, but shit, it was better than the other outfits. As you start pulling your hair up you hear the living room door open, your boyfriend walking lazily into the room and glancing around until he finds you in your shared bathroom, staring dejectedly at your reflection. "Wow baby, you look absolutely stunning." He mumbles while looking into your e/c eyes. "But, may I ask why the shirt? It's practically swallowing you, I can't see my baby in all their beauty!" He dramatically declared, smiling at you sluggishly. You blush but avert your eyes to the tiling on your bathroom floor. His large hand cups your chin, lifting your face until your eyes meet his, his face suddenly shows a spasm of shock as he sees the tears filling your eyes. "Whoa, did I say something? What's wrong, love?" He inquires as you try to blink your eyes clear from the tears, unable to stop more of them from filling your eyes. "My body…. I hate it … I just want .. to not look like I do " you say quietly, chewing on your lip, worried about his coming reaction. You knew he'd agreed, how could he ever find you attractive? Soooo stupid, you thought while trying to remove your chin from his grasp. He senses your upcoming attempt at retreating and he gently tightens his grip on your face. "You don't want to look like you do? You don't like looking like the person I want to spend the rest of my life with? The one I enjoy coming home to? The most beautiful person to ever enter my life? My sweet baby, in my eyes you are perfect, beautiful, breathtaking. I know that may not mean much but it's true. You're my everything. My little piece of perfection in this messed up world." He leans in, kissing your lips gently, as if you were the most fragile thing on earth. You gaze up at him lovingly and smile sweetly through your drying tears. "Doesn't mean much? That meant everything."
a series of lil drabbles about birthdays & gifts they get you a mini fleshed out sequel to the head cannons here! from this ongoing ask game, it is pure fluff for bakugou, hawks, aizawa, kirishima & sero based around an event on your birthday or a little slice of life moment about a gift they got you! all are for an established relationship with gn!reader
katuski bakugou:
the tired light of the setting sun floods your apartment as you get home, walking through the space and slowly, the understated relief of finally taking your shoes off in a food coma induced bliss. It’s only as you hear an all too familiar “c’mere”, grunted at you from the doorway. you look back to see your boyfriend, slowly ridding himself off combat boots. as you approach you see him holding your old polaroid camera, and before you can begin to ask, as a defined arm tugs you into his side. Looking up with mild curiosity, your greeted with the familiar feeling of a kiss pressed into your hair as a smile ghosts across your face. the little bliss is whipped away with a small jump at the unfamiliar sensation of a flashing light, accompanied by the quiet whirring of the camera shocking you into another few seconds of silence.
“what was that about?”, you ask out loud still looking up at him, now thoroughly nestled into his side.
“it’s ya birthday isn’t it?” is said back, after a few moments, as bakugou unattached you and steps through the hallway to where you’ve placed the birthday card from him earlier this morning. placing the now developed photo neatly inside
keigo takami ~ hawks:
it’s not infrequent that you find yourself flying through the sky in hawks’ arms, though it often marks the end the work – your personal hero chaperoning you home after a long day, or interrupted dates and moments flying you to safety before he can turn to save the city.
today’s special, the air feels different here, flying seems even more weightless. today as the skyline merges into the gentle rolling hills and clouds which you too so effortlessly dance through, you see the world seem to open out in front of you. most importantly you see a day together with one too many birthday puns and your heart soars with joy
shota aizawa ~ eraserhead:
you don’t notice him get home, unsurprisingly really, but it allows aizawa it indulge in one of his favourite hobbies. not people watching, watching you, seeing curled up on his couch the cats spread across your feet & anywhere you would hope to stand up, it brings him such peace. the cats are truly more concentrated than usual, it’s only as he breaks from the little moment of found comfort- watching the person (and cats) he loves most, he see’s the tips of your heated slippers peaking out from amongst the pile of cats.
when he got you them for your last birthday, you’d joked that they were more a gift for the cats. it might have turned out to be a gift for them as well, but if it means he gets to come home to see you all curled up together, he’ll buy you another pair next year and the year after
eijiro kirishima:
he got you socks! It was part a joke but also a gift out of concern for your circulation in winter :o they’re very nice socks as far as sock gifts go, good material with a repeating pattern of your favourite animal. it’s a few weeks later as the socks fade into your everyday life that you notice it. meandering round the kitchen together, on a far to early morning, he’s got the same socks for himself too. as you sway dancing around the half-made cereal, toes covered in knitted woodland creatures, easily dodging, and stepping around your own. a second miniature dance happening between the knitted animals on your feet
hanta sero:
as you arrive home, shoes pulled off with some commotion as the little cardboard crown fell from you’re head. You glance over to see you boyfriend, the doggie bags filled with cake left unceremoniously across the couch, as he makes a b line for your bookshelf. easily reaching the latest photo album, it was a rather dramatic thing- rectangular, to large to even fit normally on a bookshelf. a little peace of tape, carefully placed marked the point you’d filled up to. as he eagerly gestures for you to come over removing the collection of polaroid’s and photo rolls from today celebrations.
it’s a tradition now, second to the gathering of your friends for dinner, that you’ll find yourself here, curled up together in one of your armchairs. engaging in humour filled debates on whether or not there should be an entire page designated to rouge selfies taken by denki and mina, or they should be interspersed with the photo of you all smiling over lunch followed by a clear decision that the uncharacteristic look on bakugou s face as he enjoys the first bite of someone else’s cooking should get it’s own page. eventually adding another year’s photo of you two recreating the same cheesy pose to the inside cover, this albums almost full. it’s how you spend the last hours of your birthday and after- the clock struck midnight long ago- making and remaking on memories curled up together
a self indulgent post of aizawa comforting his sick gf and sick eri. i felt like crap when i started writing this lol.
Ailments
characters: shouta aizawa x female reader, eri
warnings; mentions of being sick otherwise this is so much fluff
shouta is in his office when you feel the bile rise up your throat. you try to remain calm, heading to the communal kitchen in class 1-A’s dorm. you smile softly at some of the kids who are in the living room, watching tv or doing homework. finally in the kitchen, you get yourself a cup of ice water, taking some sips. you sigh and then feel a tug at your shirt. you look down and see eri looking at you, her red irises are softened and her cheeks are tinged pink.
after rescuing her from kai chisaki, shouta took her in. he was hesitant, especially when he asked you if you were okay with the decision. the smile on your face when you heard you’d be raising a child with him could have blinded someone. you couldn’t wait until you actually had a child with your boyfriend someday.
“(y/n)...” eri whispers. “i-i don’t feel good...”
you set your glass of water on the counter and bend down to her level. her horn hasn’t grown recently, so you know that it’s not her quirk making her sick. you place your hand on her forehead.
“oh eri... you’ve definitely got a temperature...” you pick her up in your arms, wobbling as you stand up from your own increasing fever.
“let’s go take a nap together, i’m not feeling well either...” you whisper in her ear, getting another cup of water for her and moving back into the bedroom you share with aizawa.
you lay eri down and hand her the cup of water. “tiny sips honey... i’m going to go find shota, i’ll be right back.”
she nods and takes a sip of the water. you sigh and hold onto the wall as you approach shota’s office. you knock gently on the door. “s-sho?” you whisper.
“come in.” he says.
you crack open the door. he’s sitting on his feet, looking almost like a bird as he stares at his computer screen. “is everything alright?” he asks, not looking at you.
your ears start to ring and your vision tunnels, causing you to rattle the door as you sink to your knees. the noise and lack of response causes shouta to turn to you, his eyes widening at your position on the floor. “shit! baby are you okay?”
he rushes out of his chair and onto the floor in front of you, placing his hand on your forehead. “you’re burning up...”
tears form in your eyes as you look up at him, coming back into consciousness. then you hear it, eri throwing up in the room over. sho’s eyes soften. “is eri sick too?”
you nod slowly, reaching for your boyfriend. he scoops you up and kisses your nose. “i’ve got you... i’ll take care of my girls...”
entering the bedroom, you are set on the bench at the end of the bed. eri whimpers. “i-im sorry...” she whispers, tears streaming down her face and snot running from her nose.
“oh eri... it’s alright... (y/n) doesn’t feel good either...” he picks her up out of the soiled bedsheets and sets her on the bench next to you. eri crawls into your arms, allowing you to take a spare hairtie on your wrist and pull back her grey locks.
aizawa strips your bed and puts fresh sheets on. even though this interferes with his day of grading papers and homework, he’s kind of excited to take care of his girls. he steps out of the room for a moment, getting eri a change of clothes from her room. he smiles at the site he returns to; his girls cuddled up on the bench, eyes closed, cheeks flushed, and soft breaths escaping their lips.
he gently taps you both awake, turning his back as he hands you eri’s change of clothes. you help her get dressed in a hello kitty nightgown, then place a kiss on her horn.
“alright girls... let’s get in bed now...” shota whispers, turning on the television to disney +.
eri recently discovered the disney princesses, and especially took a liking to rapunzel. she reminded eri of herself, long hair, locked away for most of her life, until she was rescued and shown what life truly was. aizawa puts on tangled and eri stares at the screen with wide eyes. every time she watches it, she’s more excited than the last. he keeps making sure the two of you are taking tiny sips of water to keep hydrated, and when you’re ready, he gets you crackers to snack on. eri gets sick a few more times, but not all over herself or the sheets.
“w-will i ever be able to eat candy apples again?” she whispers as you braid her hair and aizawa wipes her nose and mouth.
you let out a laugh and shota cracks a smile. “of course you will... this will pass soon and you’ll feel better before you know it.”
she seems to relax after hearing that and she finally drifts to sleep, laying in between both you and shouta. you lean over the top of her and press a kiss to aizawa’s forehead.
“thank you for taking care of us baby...” you whisper.
he nods and shrugs. “it was nothing. just make sure you do the same for me when i inevitably catch this.”
you smile and nod. “of course. eri and i will nurse you back to health in no time, like you did for us.”
