Nori would get giggly as fuck, convinced everything was a fine joke. And his mirth couldn't be contained. Every other sentence set him off, the alcove they were tucked into on the side of the mountain echoing with his chuckles.

He would be laughing at Dwallin most of all because Dwalin would be So Earnest in everything he did. And everything he said was pure gossip. Crouching down so he was eye level with Nori, he looked deeply into his eyes, solemn. I swear, they were shagging in the throne room. Bilbo came out looking as fresh as a daisy but Thorin's necktie was undone and I saw the bite marks!

Whether it was the hint of impropriety or the fact Dwalin was worse than an old biddy, this set Nori off again, him collapsing back into his chair with a huff of laughter only for Dwalin to insist, It's true! I saw them with my own two eyes!

The wind would tug some of Nori's white hair around, Dwalin having gone bald decades ago, to curl around his lined face. His eyes would still be the same fierce amber. Although pleasantly hazed for the evening, they were just as likely to pierce a dwarf as they had been 100 years ago.

Dwalin would still tower over his brethren, his knees and back going achy in his old age but still able to put anyone down in the sparring ring at least once. Not that he got down to the training grounds much these days--having long since passed his captain of the watch title down.

What the fuck happened to Erabor?

I haven’t gotten around to reading the books yet (yes I am ashamed of this 😓) but I’ve seen all the LOTR & Hobbit movies like a thousand times and I genuinely don’t remember Erabor being mentioned after the events of The Hobbit.
