LOTRO Week Day 6 Factions | Instances, Skirmishes & Raids | Items & Crafting
Have some assorted screenshots from various Instances, Skirmishes and Raids :D
One of my favorite screenshots ever! It's from the Wedding of Aragorn and Arwen in the Instance 'A Wedding at Midsummer'
Absolutely love the moon in the 'Springing the Trap' instance from the Epic in Tinnudir where you take Mordrambor prizoner. So dramatic!
Can't miss the epic showdown of Eowyn with the Witch-King. I always get goosebumps!
I've been running a lot of 'Doom of Caras Gelebren' lately, because it drops a few housing items i want (so far no luck tho... ) Here is Maedhrohir my skirmish solider facing down Sauron to defend Celebrimbor. Very noble of him!
Y'all NEED to look up Forbidden Gods, it goes hard as fuck!
As someone who loves history and think Bronze-age civilization is pretty chill it is pretty amazing!
(love me some Sea Barbarians, also the logistical miracle that allowed bronze to be made)
The fact that it doesn't go "The Gods are evil" but moreso "The Gods have been blinded, trussed up, they cannot see and can barely hear whatever meager prayers they receive" , and "The Gods have been replaced by the will of an infinitely cruel and proud elf"
I also like that the Elves are fucking EVIL, but only somewhat cartoonishly evil, like.. sure they'll maybe shoot someone with a warbow from atop their great ziggurat because "why the fuck not", but they BRED HUMANS TO BE DOCILE because *they were TERRIFIED of humans rising up because there are a LOT more humans than elves*.
That was a plan generations in the making; literally.
They ride on war mammoths, palanquins of shining bronze and scrimshawed bone tied to a 15 ton armored brute of trumpeting glory. They thunder forth on shaggy rhinos with bronze-tipped horns! Hell, they literally have TERROR BIRDS and fucking Pterodactyl Falconers!
From there, you have the Sea Raiders covered in bronze and bristling in terrifyingly powerful weaponry! You have the Dwarves, the Kiln-capitals of pitiful fiefdoms that are ruled over by the bloodlines of traitor dwarves who sold their own out. You have the last bastions of man before the Elves domesticated them, covered in troll-hide and living in homes akin to Minoan palaces!
There's so much good shit!
War of the Skeletons - Campaign report
For the past couple of weeks, I've been playing an Age of Fantasy: Skirmish campaign, a agnostic tabletop skirmish game that's really simple to play. This coincided with me starting a collection of fantasy skeleton miniatures, bought from Temu and an old man who sells printed miniatures in the historic square of my city.
To my surprise, my opponent also collects skeletons (from another tabletop game), so we've played four games in this campaign, which will soon be over.
It's worth noting that in the first few games, we also went against with an orc player. I'm not sure if I enjoyed playing free-for-all with three people, since, in my opinion, it's inevitable that two players will fight only each other, while the third captures objectives freely.
After the last game, both warbands have the same number of army points (280) and victory points (6). Surprisingly, we're tied, and we've agreed that the final game will take place when both warbands reach a maximum of 300 army points.
It's been a pleasure painting my skeletons, which hasn't gone unnoticed by my opponent. While his skeletons are more robust, wield axes, and are covered in thick blue armor, mine are shorter and thinner, show their bones, and wield silver spears. He also plays using the rules of the Ossified Undead faction, which features slow-moving undead units that can regenerate while having defensive capabilities. My faction rules belong to the Mummified Undead (although my models aren't Ancient Egyptian-themed), which gives them great speed and range. So far, our games have consisted of me trying to kill his tough units, while he struggles to move towards the objectives.
The other half of the fun lies in the narrative aspect of the campaign. One of my favorite units has been my archers, very useful for harassing my lethargic opponent from a distance. Interestingly, these were the only units of mine that have leveled up, gaining a trait that allows them to roll an extra die when attacking. In contrast, my dragon died in our last game. Also one of my favorite units, its "toughness (3)" trait allowed it to withstand several wounds while dealing considerable damage; not to mention that its flight was very useful for leaping over mountains and buildings on the terrain.
To my disappointment, my opponent doesn't have a specific lore for his warband, unlike me. I came up with a solid narrative in my head for my skeletons based on Age of Sigmar lore. (Maybe someday I'll make a post dumping everything I have in mind). However, my rival named their warband "The Legion of the Ice King" based on a slight icy theme he used to decorate his skeletons. But he also mentioned that this name comes from the Ice King from Adventure Time. In addition, we had to play the last two games on a radioactive-industrial themed board because the fantasy tables were occupied. This got me thinking it would be fun to imagine our campaign taking place in the fantastical land of Ooo, where magic is actually forgotten technology, the aftermath of the apocalypse, and also… magic, sometimes.
I'm excited to keep playing. With the death of my dragon, I've planned to bring a different unit, which I want to represent with a dinosaur skeleton figure.

Titan Aegis: They Built Walls. You Bring the Wrecking Ball. 😈
💥 BE THE ALPHA. BE THE COMMANDER.
We’ve talked about the brave Pilots and their high-tech Aegis Mecha. Now, let’s talk about the real power in Titan Aegis: The Kaiju Commander.
Forget fragile armor and resource management. When you command the Kaiju, you step into a power fantasy unlike any other on the tabletop.
🦖 Your Mission is Simple: Eradication
You don’t care about Sync-Ratios or tactical flanking. Your existence is defined by one single, glorious goal: smash.
As the Kaiju Commander, you control a singular, awe-inspiring Alpha organism—a force of nature against which humanity’s best technology is merely a nuisance.
⚙️ Key to Power: Primal Mutations
Your Kaiju is fueled by Primal Power Points (PPP), which you spend on terrifying, game-changing abilities:
Hyper-Regeneration: Shrug off a critical hit that would cripple a Mecha, instantly regrowing damaged bio-armor.
Primal Charge: Use your momentum to bypass the frontline Juggernauts and slam directly into the mission objective or a fragile Longshot Mecha trying to hide.
Seismic Roar: Unleash an area-of-effect terror that causes Panic checks in enemy pilots, stalling their tactical moves.
You are playing the ultimate boss battle. Watch the puny Mecha scramble as your Giga-Rathalos closes the distance, or listen to the satisfying crunch as your Acid-Spitter melts through a reinforced shield.
📢 ALPHA TEST SLOTS STILL AVAILABLE
Want to feel the raw, earth-shaking power of the Kaiju? We still have a few Alpha slots open for Commanders ready to challenge the best Pilots we can find.
Alpha Materials coming to MadLabGames soon!
⚡️ OPERATION: BRICK ROAD - ASSAULT ON THE NEST ⚡️
// A Mission Briefing for Titan Aegis: Skirmish Protocol //
The intelligence team has located an active Kaiju Nest embedded in the ruins of the Old World's financial district. The structural integrity of the surrounding city is severely compromised. Pilot, you are authorized to engage. Commander, defend your spawn point at all costs.
🎯 Scenario & Victory Conditions
Power Level (PL): Standard Skirmish (25 PL vs. 25 PL)
Objective (Kaiju Nest Assault):
Mecha Victory: Destroy the central Kaiju Nest marker (SIP 6, Armor 1).
Kaiju Victory: Destroy the enemy Mecha unit.
VP Goal: First side to achieve their objective wins instantly.
🏙️ Battlefield & Terrain Features
The battle takes place on a large, 18-hex tactical grid: The Glass Desert.
Central Feature: The Kaiju Nest marker is at the center, surrounded by three adjacent Rough Terrain hexes (molten glass).
Large Terrain: Two large, weakened Skyscrapers (Large Terrain, blocks LOS) provide cover on opposite sides of the map.
Hazard: A Geothermal Vent (Environmental Hazard, 1 SIP damage upon entry) is located near the Kaiju deployment zone.
🛡️ The First Generation: Aegis-7 'Anvil'
Total PL Spent: 25/25 | Starting SR: 2
This Mecha is built as a highly armored, kinetic skirmisher designed to absorb hits and deliver massive plasma bursts.
Chassis: Standard Mecha Chassis (15 PL)
Core Systems & Augments (10 PL):
Heavy Armor Plating (3 PL): Grants +1 base Armor (Armor 3 total). Sacrificing speed for survival.
Plasma Caster Array (3 PL): Main weapon; uses Overload Shot (2 SR) for +3 SIP damage. The primary threat to the Nest.
Hyper-Reflex Processor (2 PL): Allows Instant Dodge (2 SR). The pilot's last-second escape mechanism.
Ablative Mesh Liner (2 PL): Reduces the damage of the first attack taken each round by 1 SIP. Protects against swarms.
🦖 The Primordial Threat: The Obsidian Brawler Warband
Total PL Spent: 25/25 | Starting PPP: 6 (2 PPP x 3 Units)
The Commander fields a powerful, regenerative Alpha supported by two harassing Lesser Swarms.
Alpha Unit: The Obsidian Brawler (7 PL)
Form: Brawler (Alpha) (10 SIP / 4 Armor / 3 Move).
Core Trait: Territorial Fury (+1 extra SIP damage to adjacent targets).
Power Mutations (16 PL):
Hyper-Regeneration (3 PPP): Restore 3 SIP. Keeps the Alpha on its feet.
Bio-Shield (3 PPP): Grants +2 Armor until the end of the round. For surviving the Plasma Caster Array.
Energy Siphon (Passive): Mecha loses 1 SR when it damages this Kaiju. Fighting back drains the enemy's resources.
Primal Roar (2 PPP): All nearby Mecha suffer -1 die on their next attack roll. Disrupting the pilot's concentration.
Lesser Units (4 PL total):
2x Crawler Swarm (2 PL each)
Core Trait: Harassing Tide: Cannot crit, but always inflicts the Staggered condition (lose 1 AP next turn) on a successful hit. Designed to slow the Mecha down and open the way for the Alpha.
Mission Directive: The clock is ticking. Aegis-7, get inside the Nest perimeter and crack that core. Commander, let the Brawler hold the line and let the swarm dismantle the pilot's focus. Engage!
