Rambling about Fairies - Manga Chapter 74
The anime may be more gorgeous overall, but I love how this final scene looks in the manga. The majestic gate that opens behind him, the way he fades, the way the foam swirls into his key, the lighting on Lucy’s face... really, damn.

Corruption
The damaged scrolls in the Vellum Steeple, with that purple muck...know what else is purple? The Savalier Wood. Know what else is spreading? The Savalier Wood.
No WONDER the Woodset Auditors are so desperate to get to Meleismere and figure out how to reverse the damage. Not only is it their ancestral home, but they are actively losing knowledge on paper made from Savalier trees hundreds of years ago.
I reiterate my Fear when the Nein DO finally try to enter the Wood and figure out how the hell to help Caduceus’ home. Something there is very, very powerful, and only growing more so.
It’s also Extremely Unfortunate that Caduceus didn’t see/doesn’t know about said purple damage. They might have gotten a better deal from the Steeple if they’d been on the same page--the Nein are, in a roundabout way, trying to do the same thing as the Auditors. Also, I really really really don’t want Reani to die...six month contract in the Wood....I’m feeling big Tova feels about this guest right now.
