Cody thinking Cal is Obi-Wan's secret lovechild because they have vaguely similar traits and hair color is my new favorite trope
Not even because of any evidence. Cody just doesn't know how nat borns work. He sees similarities and goes "ah, must be the general's clone... offspring? Child." And moves on.
Obiwan doesn't know about it until months/years into the war. Cody off hand mentions "your child." At first Obi thinks he's talking about Anakin or Ahsoka in a joking manner. But it happens again. And finally, he asks.
"Cal, sir. Your offspring?"
"My offs-- what?! Cody, whatever gave you the impression that Cal is my son?"
"... the.... red hair? And... pale skin? ... freckles?"
Obiwan cant speak because of shock. And then because hes trying very hard to not start laughing. It's not Cody's fault he doesn't know about natborn genetics.
